I'm surprised to see no topic on this game. Time to fix this!
Robocraft is, essentially, a combination of Minecraft and World of Tanks - you get to build your own vehicles using a set of blocks (all of which are called cubes, even though most of them are not cubic in shape), wheels (motor, steering, dual drive), thrusters, rotors, guns and what have you with a fairly good simulation of physics.
And then you shoot each other in teamfights, with real-time destruction of your creations. (ie. if your gun gets shot off it's gone, your plane may become unbalanced if it loses an engine and you become immobile when your wheels get destroyed. And you die when your pilot seat goes to hell.)
After fights, you get Robo-Points (RP), which you use to buy more cubes and Tech Points (TP), which you use to unlock better cubes (that you can later purchase).
The game is currently in Alpha and is free to play and to a certain extent pay2win, in the sense that there are two currencies (aforementioned RP and another "premium" currency which you can buy for, well, real cash that you can use to either purchase cubes (for a lower price) or to buy a premium membership for some time, which gives you 50% more loot after a game and access to beta features.
There's also a Tier system in place. The more and more advanced cubes you place on your robots, the higher tier they become, and thus you get matched with players of the matching Tier.
So strictly speaking it's not Pay2Win, but it has common Free2Play mechanics in place.
It's fun as hell, though, I love it.
I'm still in tier 1, but I found myself a comfortable tank-like design which so far has not disappointed me. (would post pics but I'm too lazy, would describe but I don't know the motorization terminology)
Heck, last game I single-handedly captured the enemy base with a single gun (and killed a guy who was chasing me with it) and most of my armor gone.
And it doesn't require anything hi-end, but the better...the better.
Play it here.Recently there has been an influx of Polish players (causing the servers to melt outright) after a Polish YouTube/Twitch celebrity streamed it. Makes me feel proud, but at the same time those people are atrocious and it may be hard to get into a game at times, so be wary.
