Although I don't prefer turtle tank designs. I like hit and run tactics, and adapting Mephansteras's plasma frigate design for T4 games might have been successful so far (thanks Mephansteras!) :D

I'd say its more they don't understand how to competitive game right at all. Gradual introduction of mechanics (or in this case, blocks) is what a tutorial is for. You don't need to act like the entire game should be a structured tutorial.

It can work if the early tiers are with simple weapons and each tier sort of increases in complexity and to a lesser extent power.
I dunno, isn't that what's happening now? T1 is pretty much just lasers and wheels, then you slowly progress through to hoverblades, thrusters and plasma, before hitting rails, helium and aerofoils? Don't get me wrong here, I understand and sympathise with the frustration of older players coming back to utterly wrecked designs. But as a relatively new player who dived in head first I like the way the current tech tree is structured. Although it does lead to weird things happening, like a glass cannon plasma launching rover being counted as a T1 bot..

I am moving. Also there's no way I can get this weapon at T2. What's the deal?

You can cramm some high level guns in the lower tiers by using very few of them.

For example I have a wheelchair with a TL4 rail cannon in TL1. It insta-kills just about everyone.

Also make sure the cubes just under your pilot are heavily protected from all sides, one stray shot from even a low tier railgun to those cubes will probably insta-kill you.

Not really... They are splitting them up into "counters".

You can get bigger gun at lower tiers sacrificing armour and reducing the number of guns. They are sort of glass cannons and currently their weapon has no recoil nor inaccuracy

That is going to be fixed very shortly, the railgun was introduced no long ago and still being balanced.

For now, stick in groups and stick in the middle of the pack (I tend to shot the one behind so other don't notice)

It is still a lottery, but if you play well you can close by and shred them

On some tiers... that isn't a big sacrifice. When you can just chose anyone you want to die... and they can't get into range... you know who is superior.

That mostly because at game start everyone split so one can kill them at range one at a time. A group working together can still get one killed, but the other will close by and kill the op guy

Mm, the devil's in the details. Just exactly how they implement this makes all the difference.
My money's on yet another horrid backlash nerf, as is all too common.
I'd've preferred they mess with the damage, not the accuracy, on crosshair movement.

I'd prefer the to be two speeds - a slow one for aiming and a fast one for pre-aiming. You would have to aim ahead of the target, then wait until they come into your crosshairs, then adjust a bit and fire.
Makes the positioning more tactical and helps from being shot from the sky of you're smart enough with your movement.

If i follow your meaning, that's the effect they're implementing.
Zero accuracy unless you've aimed ahead.

Problem is it might be overkill with the indicator & the increased recoil. So you're required to have a solid, non-sliding footing &  aim ahead, they see where you're aiming (and where you are) and can avoid it, and even if they don't you'll only be able to loose one shot.

We'll see how it goes.

Probably an over-nerf, but it will hush the crowds of rail-haters, then they can balance then better afterwards. Common industry practice it is.
