Plasma cannons, railguns, electroplates, wings, you name it!

Also trolling trolling and more trolling. But most of trolling is a thing of the past now.

Except if you are a t8 or a low t10.

Plasma mortars (which apparently are not in fact artillery despite working perfectly fine as such for most purposes, unless freejam changed their mind here), Railguns, wings, electroplates, If you can see it you can hit it weapon ranges (though you probably won't unless its a flier or you're using rails, unless you've got great aim/luck or they get closer) regardless of weapon, a lot of tinkering with RP and tech points and robot ranking (and SMGs lasers, for some reason), and you can now spectate after you're shot down/sniped/generically destroyed.

Yeah, that. It's cool, I'll get around to mixing things up eventually. And one nice thing about the design (that you can't see) is that it has hover blades inside, so I can lose most of the outer ones and still get around a bit. I do tend to flip over if one side gets blown off, though, which is annoying but only a major problem against flyers since I can't really shoot them anymore.

This new repair cost & the nerf to capping points really encourages cowardice & the post-game hunting of cowards.

This is just...weird.
Used to be I'd jump down from my perch to attempt a herpderp-capture, or to block a capture attempt with my squishy robotic body, but I'm rewarded far better for just staying hidden & waiting out the clock.
Makes the difference between 4k & 2k. (tier '7')

Also try to get in a 3 person platoon it is bugged now and gives a decent advantage

Yeah, coordination is difficult to find in games but very important. Doesn't matter how good you are if you're heavily outnumbered.

problem is many people lack basic understanding of competitive gaming. It suck to lose because half team committed suicide without accomplishing anything

Seriously. Even worse is when you start to head off to a direction with a group of people only for them to stop or change course half-way through and leave you stranded when the enemy groups show up. It's happened to me too often to count, to the point where I've started hanging back at the beginning and waiting for everyone to actually decide what they're doing before I go anywhere.

I really need to get some friends in on this or go in with some bay12 people on voice chat so I can get some decent coordinated plays.

I roll in t10 but can make up something for other tiers if there is enough request.

clans are coming shortly, will set up one for us, in the meanwhile, if you see me online I am always platooning or at least trying.

And about coordination... All it really takes is a "go right, and rush their base" message during the initial count-down for people to actually do something useful. I agree it sucks getting shot down because most of your team is waiting for the enemy to be softened up...  But this helps when there are lots of folks going that same direction. It's worked out about 80% of the time for me.

This is why I stopped playing.  For one, it's weighted towards 'the rich get richer, and the poor feed the rich' which actively denies about half their player base any good gameplay - someone has to lose for someone to win, and everyone can't win.  This means people get stuck, they don't make enough credits to advance, and gameplay grinds to a halt for those players.  I'm all for competitive play and pvp, but when the big-game model becomes zero-sum, then something is deeply wrong.

For two, cowardice is the most profitable course.  Dying gets you no rewards, and gets you a repair bill.  Not dying gets you small rewards.  Not dying and killing things gets you big rewards.  So really, why fight?  If you risk getting your bot destroyed, then you're going to pay huge repair fees, which are DESIGNED to prevent you advancing in higher tiers.  Cowardly tactics aren't just viable, but are the MOST viable, and again, when the gameplay design encourages you to no play and to sit in a corner, then something is also deeply wrong.

It wouldn't be so bad if the game would award playing the game more.

Though I understand what they are going for. If you can BARELY squeeze into the next tier, they want you to instead dominate the old tier.

Though the game is really unforgiving to people who have poor designs. "You lost the match and didn't kill someone? Well sorry we are giving you garbage points AND there is a repair penalty"

It happens a lot to me, though it is my own fault because I keep trying not to go for the tank/pillbox designs that make the game look so uninteresting.

Which is why I kind of laugh at official screenshots of it because I just go "Yeah, like ANYONE would honestly try to make a buggy with its exposed wheels... And a jet plane? yeah right!"
