i agree with darkstar mostly.

one major difference is unmentioned tho, thats speed. wheels are fastest.

also:
only once i didnt blow up and could keep fighting. when i lost all my wheels.
it doesnt realy matter. at the point where your last wheel is gone, your guns are long gone.
with no guns and wheels, a bot will blow up.



anyway, i think my design is done... i dont think i will change a lot in shape untill i have replaced the like 5000000 cubes by l5 armor^^

I looked at the plasma cannons...they are effected by gravity, so they are essentially artillery, railguns will be deadly in the hands of aircraft too, I think fighters with forward mounted railguns will be used quite a bit.

thats why i say from what they describe these guns, they will be utterly op on flyers.
trajectory would not or almost not matter if you shoot almost straight down.
on the other hand, imagine hitting a flyer with these thingies.
it would all boil down to flyers with pc to kill noobs with wheels, and flyers with rails that hount the noob killers.

while that might be the case...i could see railguns being used as anti flier, which honestly i'm more scared of then the entire thing becoming one giant air battle...and now the server disconnects are happeneing to my tier 5 robot now

do you disconnect after the game started? i think that never happened to me.

about rails, you may have a point there. if rails would be very strong aaa, it would not matter if pc would be very strong anti wheel.

however... i would prefer not to have weapons of mass destruction, tho it takes forever to kill black bots with the current weapon tech.

For higher tiers, I'd just blame server strain.

The recoil? From what I hear you're not the only one.

Also, I would like to note that the tier 2 grinding is the worst, as you're in a very strange limbo, needing armor and guns to go up a tier, but not having enough income usually.

Yeah, things start getting faster after that. I can get 1000 RP at level 4 in about half my games.

i think you wont regred it.
larger guns are hard to mount for the shier size.
i have 4 l5 2l4 now, and i still use one l3 because i just cant fit anything larger anywhere without making the whole tingi like double size.

yeah... screw that noise.

i learned that the seat itself is indestructible. its the tile its connected to thats important.
so... no need to build that cockpit. 2 tiles high and good armour in the base is all it needs.
also quie usefull to know in case one wants to kill stuff.

One thing to note though is that when a block is hit, excess damage is transfered to surrounding blocks, so surrounding your armor towards the bottom with plastic blocks is not as effective as armoring the surrounding blocks as well.

now thats good to know!
having a layer of green wedges on high 3 around my chair would actually hurt! it would be much more easy to hit then the cockpit itself, and thus transfer the damage!
back  into the batlab, robin!
