Remove elevation on gun in center, it's a massive target and extremely vulnerable, also prevents other gun from shooting behind. Move your guns so they are aligned more with the middle instead of the front.

That massive tower was originally just armor for the pilot seat, figured it would be a good spot to put a gun. I'll see what I can do about that though, thank you for the advice!

Had my first Boss fight today. As a Boss, actually, since I haven't ended up in one in a sub-T8 bot yet. Took the Frigate out for a spin and did a good job splattering the enemies. They had a T7 which made it more interesting, as the rest were T3s and were mostly one-shotted. The only real problems I encountered were the two T3 rail balloons, since the Frigate is a Plasma ship and not well suited for fighting them. Managed to take one out and the other got bored and gave up despite knocking me down to 2 guns.

So, Victory for the Frigate. It is officially a Boss design. (Sorry, I had to)

Sometimes it's not necessary to worry about gun mounts blocking LoS for other guns - either you have so much dakka that the loss of 1-2 guns worth of dakka is still plenty of dakka, or you can spin your bot around quickly enough to maintain maximum dakka output.

If you're using wheels, the best directions are left/right, so you can strafe while spraying gunfire.

this structure works on wheel as well (it actually was a tank, you can see where the wheels were).
