I try out new ideas in Practice mode... where they're supposed to be tested...
I only go out onto the field if I'm sure I can control my bot and can at least shoot something. :p

Who the hell uses the t9 reciever?! Shit's xbox-huge; they should have gotten smaller as the tier went up, and never gone that far overboard. It's just 20m difference, it's not worth doubling the size of my profile!

I'd criticize this... if it wasn't for the fact that Railguns and Mortars weren't explosive... so pieces that jut out will just kill you rather than be blown up.

I learned that the hard way when I built my Cover Turret Vehicle... One hit in a harmless spot and BOOM! my entire vehicle destroyed.

Just surprised myself at how lucky I was.  Two railgun hover-snipers were trying to kill me.  Using a bridge as cover, I managed to weaken one, and after my wheels were shot off, with only one turret left, I wound up killing them both.  Both with two incredibly lucky shots, the first of which killed the gun of one of them, and one-shot the other, when I could just barely see him.  Then the guy on the team I was on killed off all the other side's remaining units, despite them outnumbering us.

also, tons of guy getting stuck healing each other and ganging up in a place

wake up! you can heal while moving and if you stay all in one plece they can just pick us all one by one on their terms

The 20 second reload and the lose-accuracy-for-aiming/breathing/existing makes the railguns no fun at all.

As long as you have wheels or legs to keep yourself still, you can get full accuracy (which seems to be 100% accurate). Rail guns don't really go with fliers that well.

It requires both you and your target to sit still until the reticule shrinks enough, and then you twiddle your thumbs for 20 seconds while your team dies and you hope you aren't seen at all.  Its just way too slow and passive to be any fun.  Damage irregardless.

Yeah, It's still one of those things that in some small way pecks at the thought that they know how to design a game well. Never the less, they did make it where they are... It's just I hope they keep realizing some of the questionable decisions they have made like the repair system they chucked.
 Stuff like the 20 second reload, tech point system, ranked vs standard battles, premium access to parts, their attempt to say they will 'experiment' with the concept of removing parts and then concluding their decisions on said experiment within one week... Stuff like this really makes me question sometimes.

It's annoying, but it's workable with claws.

• Try aiming just off-target but at something in the foreground if at all possible, that way you only move the crosshair slightly to sight in quickly & without forewarning.
• Instead of trying to track fast fliers second-to-second, try to predict their movement & jump ahead to steady the shot.
• Remember a glancing blow transfers full damage, so clipping their gun or a tail or a random superfluous whisker can gib them.
• As stated before, even hipfires can be useful. & say if you get into a deathgaze with another sniper, don't wait forever to shoot. With a bit of luck, jumping the gun will net you the first shot & you'll partially disable/kill them. Don't be afraid of mashing the trigger & praying to the RNG if you don't think you'll live long enough to fire them normally.
• You can operate in close/medium range if you're with your team, (though it's not ideal). Just sit back and watch a flank, or take a peek if there're medics & space aplenty. Keep in mind setting up on an enemy's flank while they're engaged can help a lot more though.
  
• With jammers & agility, sneaking up close to people & carefully picking off their weapons or mashing LMB is rather fun.
• Try to focus on crippling enemies & letting your close-quarters friends finish them- only make sure to finish them off if 1. they're a medic or 2.there's a medic nearby (out of sight) and the target's close to death. Keyword being cripple.

It's also fun psyching people out with your laser, keeping them stuck on the other side of a choke point while your team takes the rest piece-meal.

I'm having fun, but I loath SMGs. You just start falling apart, (AT MAX RANGE), with nothing but silence & ground hits to let you know who the culprit is.

Pain to try and actually hit any of you people, though.  Anything I hit is by blind luck.

I decided to make a new robot with the walker update,  before I had a hover/sniper and now I have a walker/medic.  surprisingly I survive more games as the medic...  though sometimes when a leg re-gens you go flying

The problem with SMGs is that a good while back they were the only gun you had, so they kinda had to be good at whatever.

But when they introduced other guns, they never really specialized or weakened the smg.

I quite like where the SMG is at now, though. Didn't they make it such that you can't SMG snipe through fog any more?
