The highest cost in souls is 25, for the guardian of armok. Probably too cheap, but stockpiling 200 moleweasels is not necessary.

Killing enemies with the military, then butchering the corpses will net you souls. Dwarves can butcher sapients again for that, a necessary change. Still better than the itemcorpses.

Excellent.  I like it much better than itemcorpses.  Of course it's necessary to breed them like crazy.  Imagine the horrible sounds coming from a cage filled with 200 moleweasels, badgerdogs, drakes, and elephants.  It helps strike fear into the heart of invaders.

Also I've never been terribly efficient at arming my military.  The endless wave of animals often fights off invasions for me.  Nothing quite as fun as pulling a level linked to cages overfilling with war animals and watching the chaos as they pour down corridors at invaders.

not really sure why this is happening, but the start df as well as utilities tab are completely blacked out and I can't see them from the new gui (although I'm using a diff pc then I've been using for the past 2 weeks...)

also got this error when I thought I clicked on utlities

Did this update include any changes, however small, to Soundsense? 

I can start it up normally but for whatever reason, the Soundsense GUI can't be clicked on and doesn't work.  Doesn't happen with previous versions.

quite possible itemsyndrome from digging is not working properly.  I believe Putnam gave us a new script via the studded with patches page, but there still seems to be an issue

this is what phoebus looks like with phoebus color.  I was playing with ironhand for a bit.  I shouldn't have to change the color scheme to fix it as it the PHOEBUS color set.  Something is amiss

i got a greater megabeast soul, i sacrificed it, but seems it wasn't worth more then any other soul. So is there anything special that i could have done with it? Not sure this fortress will see another megabeast soul though :D

You could have researched the Megabeast Kennels. A megabeast soul can train a single dwarf to level 10 in all combat skills (giving you a very good fighter), or you use the soul + trophy to revive the megabeast, as a pet / warbeast.

Its all in the manual... ;)

erm... lol... I just noticed... they didnt grab the megabeast soul, but instead took some random critter...
Hm, but if it is gone after 4 weeks... It is too late anyway, should be gone in a few days. Even with 4 weeks i would have probably not been able to get that far anyway.

Megabeast souls stay forever, till you use them, for exactly that reason. It will be in a tool stockpile somewhere.

thistleknot: I got itemsyndrome fixed (Putnam did it :) ) and its added to the SWP release. The colors for phoebus I havent gotten around to.
