Remuthra, don't forget...we're ECL 14. We can obtain the ridiculous shit if we want to. It's not that hard to find a means to get to the Elemental Plane of Air; it's even the only one of the four that isn't 'oh you teleported in; have a nice time suffocating/drowning/asploding'.
I have Plane Shift at will apparently so that will be no problem. Gotta love racial spells.
Which brings up the question;

On which plane should we erect our fortress?
How about all of them?

We can't guard all of them easily then. Besides, there's like 30-odd some planes.

Also, did you look up Dread Necromancer like I told you?

Also also, anyone have suggestions for wands, staves, rods, and other magical items for use by general or specific individuals? Deceive Item is so fun! ^^

Dread Necromancer doesn't seem so interesting. I'm just going to rocking an Enchanter/Illusionist style.

And can't we just make it so our fortress can Plane Shift?

Hm.

I guess I should start working on a higher power version of Gartens, then. Unfortunately, I won't be able to homebrew the one-handed reach weapon, so I'll just have to Spiked Chain it. Or something. I could do a Small Glaive, if I was medium sized. Or just be Large and have reach anyway, though I'd like more. Does Powerful Build from Goliath and from Half-Giant stack?

Finally, Criptfiend, spells(and spell-like abilities) with a range of touch(even with reach) qualify for weapon finesse.
Powerful Build does not stack.

....well, yes, obviously, but we still have to build it one plane first. And then make sure it can survive all of them...Plane of Fire is an Issue. If we weren't bloody good-aligned(or maybe they won't care; deathless aren't evil after all), we could use undead guards, who wouldn't need to breathe, and wouldn't die on the Negative Energy Plane.

Actually, we should just go for constructs as guards. Quite a few actually heal from fire damage(HAHA CONSTANT HEALING HERE, MOFOS), and fairly sure they aren't affected by negative/positive energy. We could enchant them to be protected from X anyway.

@mastahcheese: Yes, I did. Why would I ever want to use that? I do more damage with Eldritch Glaive, from a safer distance. Plus, I'd rather just cast the wand from far away. Again; safer.

If you have the 55k for it, I request an Instant Fortress (I know it doesn't need the deceive item, but it looks so fun to have- especially with the mobile siege engine Minotaur rogue)

@Rolepgeek/everyone: Then I request that someone gets an instant fortress. If there is a lurker out there who hasn't been posting, you are required to get an instant fortress... Or if someone has the extra gold... Does want. Maybe I'll look through my items to see if I can give up 55k for that...

@Gamerlord: Chaotic good (Half-dragon, it's required that I start CG because copper)

I'm chaotic neutral. Fey. What do you expect, really? It's Oso. Sorta.

We'll just pool our spare money, Delioth. Maybe. Instant Fortresses are gimmicky.

On second thought, if we're going to pool our money into a big thing, it should benefit the party as a whole (We'll probably have enough walls with our casters.. or I guess I can contribute... 438 GP)

I Change my recommendation from being an Instant Fortress (Agreed, it's gimmicky) to being a large vehicle. I was thinking maybe a Dirigible(35,000GP)? (I already have an instant boat, so sea travel's covered... unless we can put a cloud keel/earth keel on a folding boat?-Not worth, 150k for earth, 200k for cloud, 60k for a zeppelin). Maybe a Dwarven Tunneler? Mobile fortress V2.0 (And can be used to effectively travel unnoticed... Until we "Accidentally" cause a castle to collapse)

...Or we could save the gold and buy Kanto's Lament...

EDIT: I may or may not end up owning a dirigible by the end of the day...
