For those who need to discuss the game.

For anyone who hasn't yet played the game:
It's a heartwarming Indie Game brought to us by Freebird Games, which follows the story of a dying old man, two researchers, both jaded in their own ways, a lighthouse and a platypus.
To say anything more would be telling - but I can say that it has been likened to "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".
Needless to say, as a personal recommendation I would tell every feeling human to play this game (And every unfeeling human to try it as a challenge).
It currently has a sequel in the works, as well as a bridging short.

But again, as a warning - it's a feels game | So don't play it if you have a medical condition which renders you vulnerable to heartsqueeze.

Started the game quite a while back and got distracted with other games. I should probably run through the whole thing sometime soon, because I pretty much forgot the story up to the point that I'm at.

Played it with my girlfriend in one sitting over a bottle of wine. The feels were strong that night, fantastic game.

I'm a girl with autism. I've never, ever, ever in my life, seen (especially adult) women with autism portrayed in such an accurate, genuine way. From childhood, where everyone thinks she's just "a little odd," to adult diagnosis... The conversation where the woman who was diagnosed as a child explains how she has been pretending for so long, sometimes she isn't sure what's really her and what's the memorized facade anymore... I had to take a 5 minute cry break. Add to that the fact that they donate part of their proceeds to autism charities, and clearly a woman with autism was one of the writers/developers of this game.

In case anyone was wondering if it's authentic or not. It is. And it's wonderfully done. It's a great story in its own right, but as an expression of how it feels to be one of "us"... It's perfect.
