Nope, but I do live in a 'town' that happens to be in the middle of fucking nowhere, with some odd workarounds to problems. But talking to the mayor and the committee of everyone else who happens to live here, the some 200~ odd people, on a monthly basis is fine. Its also why I have an income but don't actually have a leave home and work full time job, I handle keeping a list of requisitions and general shit people want, so I can give it to the mayor and the committee can vote if we spend municipal funds to purchase a shipment so stuff can get to us. Normally there is, and the voting to do so is just a formality, but it determines what is on the damn truck besides personal purchases, so it can go into the 'store' that you can use because you paid local tax. This is mostly because no goddamned general stores are in this god awful place, nor franchises that you'd find anywhere else. Its mostly because Osagenon is so remote, I'd have to drive to the next town over to find a McDonalds or any of the chain stores like Wal-Mart, and the next town over is several hours away.
Also by 'running low' I mean the guys who run the store's stocks told me the stocks and I determined that its very likely we will run out of shampoo over the course of 2 months if we don't get a box in the next shipment. That's my job, determining the average length of time the store's stock will last and if it need to be restocked. Very boring shit.
