Bad tooth extension.
« on: December 25, 2013, 03:09:51 am »

I got this stuff on my teeth that won't come off with anything short of acetone.

It's mucus based or some shit, and doesn't respond to anything I know of other than acetone.

I know If I dry it out I can remove them, but I don't have time.

Yeah someone stuck a radio device to my teeth.

I need to remove it so I can sleep :\

Just to get it out of the way: Do not put acetone in your mouth. Acetone is poisonous, flammable and has been known to cause liver damage, nerve damage and sterility. I repeat: Do not put acetone in your mouth.

Go to a dentist. They will be able to get whatever it is off your teeth without poisoning you. If there isn't a dentist open, go to the ER. Anything is better than trying to wash something off your teeth with poisonous chemicals.

Try toothpaste or an alcohol/hydrogen peroxide based mouth wash; that may have some result, or at least enough to allow you to sleep, as long as this "stuff" isn't hazardous to you while resting.

Without knowing more about the substance stuck in your teeth, however, I couldn't recommend anything more than going to a dentist or emergency room as mentioned above.

How do you know it comes off with acetone? You actually tried it? GET TO A HOSPITAL YOU COMPLETE MORON, YOU'RE POISONED.

Next time you have a hard, mucus based substance in your mouth, go to a dentist. It's called tartar, and it's easy to scrape off, for a dentist.

It's not tartar, it's something added to a tooth with mucus substance underneath.

I know there's more than one way but I need the best way ASAP.

My honest suggestion: start with aquiring a brain, and go from there. Also, go to a dentist.

Nothing you can do on your own in this situation is appropriate; you don't know enough about the substance, nor your own biology, apparently. Quit messing around and get professional help.

Something in your (or actually in between your) teeth that is...'mucus' based.

Yet there's lacking time, and you expect a quick response here (primary reason these things aren't practical == timezone difference between everyone. :S).

Quit messing around and get professional help.
And actually be sure of what you're doing that it won't make it worse. Or at least describe the cause or origin of such so we'd get a better idea, because all you'll be getting is a direction to the best help ever: Someone who can.

Yup, they get a little drill thingy and polish it off. Really simple if you know what you're doing.

Drinking acetone is not the way to go.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acetone

its not that poisonous, its a natural metabolic product of the body.

Seeing as it comes off with acetone, it is probly some sort of oily organic plastic, most likely bio-degradeable...so try rinsing your mouth with vegetable oil? (or acetone lol)

you'll probly also be alright if you just leave it, it will eventually come off one way or another.

If you scroll down on that article, it has a toxicity section in which it says the LD50 for human ingestion is 1.159 g/kg. That's about 100mL, or 3 fluid ounces for a 50/50 shot of dying or merely suffering kidney damage.

It's only listed as "nontoxic" because most people are smart enough not to down shot glasses of nail polish remover.

nail polish remover is extremely concentrated in acetone though. The acetone i assumed he used was like the clear less-concentrated solutions i remember using to clean lab equipment in chemistry.

Yeah someone stuck a radio device to my teeth.

Hi there.  You need to tell this to a mental health professional.
