So, in Dippedpully, we've had a lot of drownings, and despite my attempt to drain all the surface water into the caverns, there's a lot of bodies feeding the fishes.

And a lot of memorial slabs in the crypts.

I've finally had a read of them. Most say "Slayer of Elves", "Devoted Father & Husband", "Devoted Husband" - good stuff like that.

My old chief medical dwarf only got "Friend of Goats".

This is an exceptional siltstone memorial to Asmel Zulbansirab
The slab reads: In memory of Asmel Zulbansirab / Born 397 / Went missing in the year 559 / Queen of the Tongs of Lances 482 to 559 / Slayer of Dwarves / Loving wife / Lover of saltpeter

The dwarves of PaddleIvory know exactly where she went. Some say you can still smell a certain smokey odor down by the magma forges. The bit about "loving wife" is a lie, of course, but "Slayer of Dwarves" is most certainly true. Being the monarch, I guess she felt no need to lie about that part anymore.
