A) You screwed up spelling Derres every time it came up and B) When did I start fighting the Beserker? I was fighting Brute I before he ran off to attack other people magically or something. I know anailater attacked him but did that make him leave me alone?

Brute, Berserker, same difference.

Attempt to heal myself. And not die. Staying alive would be nice.

Take on the sniper! Murder death kill!
Those ones with ranged weapons hurt. They were a danger to everyone, too. Better get them out the way while it is possible. Besides, they are relatively defenceless in close quarters, not to mention a broken bow is a useless bow...

Barrus holds his side painfully and grunts, trying to fight past the pain. But damnit, it hurt! Where was that doctor? Oh, there he was. Dying. Wonderful. And so was the ballista-man. Great. Well, since he was going to die anyway, no point in guarding him. He gets down off the house carefully, trying to stop the bleeding as much as he could, by walking over to the brute he'd thrown off the house, carefully being sure to slit his throat completely, and using his clothing as rags and makeshift bandages. You didn't survive the arena without learning how to deal with bleeding, after all.
