HO HO HO~~~

Actually, I'm tending house and not doing much of anything. Once the sun comes up, I'll try to do some cleaning and wrap my kids' presents. They'll spend the two days after Christmas with me.

Then next week, my GF and I are headed to a cozy little cabin in the mountains, far away from any technology, Intertubes or the like. For a whole week. ^_^

Loading cargo, then heading out to the Bully 1 in Mississippi Canyon 635. 20-25 knot winds and 5-7 foot seas.

Merry Fucking Christmas.

Today: Spent wondering why I didn't go anywhere/ do anything for Christmas (then remember the reason for why I am not), giving all my money away to Steam, wondering why I can't I hold play all of these steam games and talking a bit to my folks as a means of repentance for my first action.

Tomorrow: Spend all morning wondering what games I'll play, talk to my folks feel homesick but glad that someone's always there or here for emotional support and meditate on life towards these weird holiday obligations.

Suffering.

Earning easy money at work. Holiday shifts are best shifts.

Thursday is when the hell of actually having to get things done begins. I'll be spending all day doing chores, fulfilling obligations to friends, and, if I'm lucky enough to have time, worrying about game design documents. >___________>

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

:D :D :D

Actually, tomorrow is probably looking more like being babied by my parents, eating aebelskiver and five-spice tofu, opening gifts (NO CLOTHES EXCEPT MAYBE A SCARF THANK GOD THEY FINALLY UNDERSTAND), and, yes, antsily writing game design documents and letters to various relatives.

Interesting, do you care to elaborate? You may as well try to do something about game design now if you can't tomorrow (but if you're really busy we'll understand holidays and such).

I would like to work on my game. That, however, is probably not going to happen for a while.  :-\

Step number 8 on how to live a completely boring average life: Say you're working on a video game and never actually do it.

Not with that attitude you won't ever finish that game! Though I'm just a person on the internet you don't have to listen me.

Family parties. First at the family on my fathers side, then the family at my mother's side. Pretty fun.

Yeah, I've just got too much to do right now. Luck will result in, at best, a few minutes to worry about how much design I'm not doing. Plenty of time for that, but not enough to scratch out any ideas I haven't already.

And Gwahd bless us (or just have a nice day) everyone!

Luck will only last so long. If it's really that important than you're going to have to sacrifice a few things here and there. BLOOD DOWNTIME FOR THE PRODUCTIVITY GOD!
