(16+3) Krom takes the dagger and begins to weave it between his fingers. Each pass it goes directly into the centre of the gap, without even the slightest danger to the flesh. The dagger is returned to the centre of the table unmarked, and both krom and Floe look to Kannii.
-----
 (Sorrel 14, gerwick 16, Wesley 8+3 v ???)
As the group enter the room, it become apparent that is sweeps backwards on either side of the doorway, providing a good hiding place. This is further highlighted by the gang of 6 thieves that lurk behind - an even mix of humans, drow and elves, though the elvish woman is nowhere to be seen. A door sits on the right hand side, but it is swiftly blocked off by one of the Drow, who moves to cut of the escape of the party and attack Gerwick - (11v13+2-2+2) however, Gerwick just avoids the blade before him. A human also lunges for him, (13v13+2-2+2), the blade rattling off his own, as the two elves both rush Sorrel - (13v7+4-2-2) (11v13+4-2-2) as her staff blocks the dagger of the first the second sneaks beneath her guard, piercing her clothing and leaving a deep line across her ribs (-6HP).
The two remaining thieves are slower to react, but begin to move towards Wesley.

Without the slightest hesitation, Kannii picked up the knife. She span it once in her hand before she played the game.

Wesley chuckles before going on the offensive against the two thieves.

Daggers were annoying to parry at such close range-but, the length of her staff was a decided advantage. She took a step back, sweeping a low blow in front of her to slow the bullrush-two against one, of course, tended to inspire a degree of confidence. She needed to take one of them out of the game...preferably, the fellow who had given her the cut to her waist...she could sweep the legs from them, but supposing they stepped back...

She paused a moment at the apex of her sweep, preparing to draw back her staff like a javelin almost, and plunge it two-handed into the throat of whichever man was closest-a square hit would gag him, and a follow up to the head would leave him cold and senseless.

Plans, action...

Action: Fight! Push them both back with a staff spin, knocking them to the ground if possible, then strike the one who is closest to me. Above strategy!

Gerwick slashes at the man who lunged at him, dodging back afterwords.

Kannii picked up the knife, spinning it once before sending it plunging towards her hand. (16+5) It falls cleanly between the fingers, and passes around with ease. As she finishes, Floe teases it from her hand, letting hers linger there instead. However, Krom sees a hint of guilt in her eyes, flicking between the dagger and Kannii.
-----
Wesley grins, chuckling and shaking his head slightly as he pulls both cutlasses from his belt. ’You give honest criminals a bad name.’ (14+3v15,11) The blades slice clean under the thieves’ guards - the man leaps back before any serious harm can be dealt, taking only a deep line (-4), but the drow is less lucky and takes the blade directly to his stomach (-6-2,unconscious). The human pushes back (8v5+2+1), just scraping the pirate’s armour, as the drow backs away and slumps to the ground.
Gerwick unsheathes his sword and swings at his second assailant (11+1v12), the blade passing within a hairs breadth of his skin, before dodging back, leaving only the first to attack him. (13v11+3+4) the attack goes wide however.
Sorrel steps back from the pair of elves, staff raised and ready. (8+3-1v12,10) the first steps back as the staff whistles past his knees, but the second takes the blow cleanly to the side of her legs - whilst she appears uninjured, she is sent sprawling to her knees. (12+3v10-2) The spin turns smoothly into a strike, colliding smoothly with her windpipe and lower jaw and sending her sprawling, unconscious (-7, unconscious). The male elf hesitates, before turning to run for the door.

Sorrel turned from the fleeing man in a liquid motion, pinwheeling toward Gerwick-her staff aiming to be his living shield, helping deflect errant blows and forcing another enemy down. The hammer and the anvil, they had called it during training-Sorrel would lock them down in a storm, and her partner would strike them out in a fury.

Action: Use Heartswood Guardian On Gerwick, defending him and double teaming an enemy with him

Kannii laughed easily, letting the fingers linger in hers. With her other hand, she lifted her wine cup, and lifted it in a mock salute.
"An easy task, it seems." She smiled and took a drink, tasting the sweet flavours of berries on her tongue.
