"Not going to follow them, Milady? The dwarf may come to harm." Kannii raised one eyebrow questioningly.

"I'm not sure exactly whats even going on, or if anyone is in danger. I make a habit of not charging into trouble unless it's worth it-otherwise I'd die, just as anyone, good intentions or not. The cause is not served by rash actions. There was no fighting tonight-and whomever I saw, if they had something to do with it, knows that I know. I can only hope the sort of person who would gamble their possessions in a place like this would be able to watch out for themselves.

That is enough for me.

You may gloat now if you like-I suspect you believe that if you can't save everyone or end all suffering or injustice omnipotent, why try, right?"

Sorrel seems intent on Kanni, and seems to not realize Wesley spoke to her.

Wesley puts a hand on Sorrel's shoulder.
"For the love of... Sorrel, have a drink. You're getting worked up over an innocent question."

[Dwarmin]

"Perhaps. Forgive the outburst. I've been known to have a temper, easily stoked. My Oa burns like a torch...white hot. It moves me to do great and horrible acts...it is difficult to want to do the right thing. I do not like to be called a hypocrite for pursuing a higher purpose-especially from one who has none...

I will have that drink, after all. Thank you, Wesley."

Wesley hands her the glass and starts drinking from the bottle now.

Sorrel swishes her glass and sips slowly, enjoying the warmth.

"What is this, Riodilic Firewater? You have fine taste, ser. I can even taste the Troll-blood..." She says, mostly jokingly.

Such are the popular jokes that come from the lands of Riodia about what they imbibe-they really do hate trolls that much, quite alot.

Wesley stops drinking and looks at the bottle questioningly.

"I had not called you a hypocrite, milady. Though it was clear something there was going on, and it's not uncommon to kill for gold. But I suppose, out of sight, out of mind, yes?" She grinned like a wolf. "Though am I allowed to comment on the matter? After all, my purpose is not nearly so high and pure as yours."

"I couldn't give a damn about your character if you pulled down my pants and started jacking me off right now! I care about the fact that you are not preventing fights."
Wesley looks very annoyed.

"It was the priestess who burst out in anger, ser, and no one has suggested violence yet. You blame me too early, ser. I responded to discourtesy in kind."

Wesley sighs and leans against the bar.
"Just, please try and avoid saying things that could start fights. Or if you do I'll have to enforce corporal punishment like I used to."

"That's something I wouldn't recommend, ser, the priestess might be most unhappy if you whip her."
