"I'll let you figure this out. You believe that priests and other individuals are not that much different from common folk, and this makes you not consider them undesirables. What does that imply about me, who evidently does?"

"Flattery is appreciated, but it doesn't negate the fact that you implied that I discriminate based on income."

Ignoring the grumpy troll, Kannii made her way to the bar. "Do you have wine, ser?" She placed a coin onto the bartop and kept her hand on it. While she waited, she listened to the conversations around her.

"I never said that."
"Would you mind providing an alternate explanation for your statement?"

"I figure you would acknowledge people for what they are. These people... aren't very desirable."

Krom sighs.
"So, your logic is that, even though you think these people are undesirable, out of our whole group only I am smart enough to realize it, and everyone else, yourself included, is too much of an idiot to figure it out?"
Krom is clearly getting annoyed.

Sorrel listens to the argument with interest.

"It's true, I don't mind rough company as some might. I find scoundrels to be an entertaining lot-especially if they mistake me for ready prey or passive witness-or maybe just an easy lay.  After all-my faith is not one of judgement-only action, and reaction. Maintaining a positive balance. And sometimes the lowest of the low still surprise you. A good Life is full of such wonders."

Wesley looks Sorrel up and down like he's done before.
"I can see why they would try to lay with you.."

"They do try, don't they? I don't begrudge them for it. I have seen into the beyond, and what ever may be there is not our world. Our time here is all we possess, as far as I know.

All of strong passions deny the Grey, and spurn the Havens. Yes, even I-whom has been there, and come back unwhole. Perhaps more than anyone, I deny them."
She says with a sly smile.

"Seems like a rather boring place. You know, a realm without strong passion. I mean, where would the love be? The hate? The fear, the happiness, and of course the really good friends ships. All of those are strong passions and yet after this world there is one lacking in them? Not to offend you but I find that to be a rather boring way to go about living if you don't have strong passion. But that's just the views of an ex-slave, not like my opinion matters much more than anyone else's."

"We only call it the Grey-and it is Death. What comes after may be even better than our own world, for all we know. But one must brave the Grey to reach what lies beyond-if anything. It is not a place of rest. It is a place for the newly dead, lost and confused and grieving.

All I have felt in that place is cold...a bitter loneliness. Voices endlessly calling for those they seek in the mists, or cursing those those who cast their souls adrift. So rarely do they find peace in the Grey. They cling to life, still. Regretting what they did not do, could not do, did not dare. That is why I do not kill so easily-that is why I endeavor to live every day to it's fullest, while maintaining the light. Life is precious."

"Aye, that it is. I remember this one lad in the crew. He used to work for a merchant. The very first day when we had to fight he had his guts spilled on the deck of the enemy ship. I remember the fear in his eyes when he realized he was dead. Needless to say it was an unpleasant experience for all involved. Especially the one who killed 'im. Keelhauled 'im we did."
Wesley doesn't look to be experiencing a strong emotion. He looks like he could be describing a trip to the doctor.
