Krom sighed.
"Yes...they do not fight all evils, but you can hardly claim they make the slavers worse."

((Just out of curiosity, what stat would be used for things like healing? Support?))
((Yup.))

Quote
"If my vote shall break this debate, I will argue for the Southern continent. I have no love for bandits. It would be a wise course of action, to bring them to justice."
"If I count correctly...that brings us to two votes each for the Western and Southern jobs. Incidentally, how did you know about which jobs corresponded to which continent--or, indeed, what the jobs were at all?"
((.....Sometimes GWG it would be nice if you were not quite so thorough :P ))

The barman looks warily at the rising argument.
‘Um, gentlemen…. and ladies of course - may I make a suggestion? If you let me tell you where to go to look into the jobs further, perhaps you could find out a little more from the source, yes?’

((I skipped past the part where everyone tells me information I already read so I could vote and move on with our mission. So who hasn't voted then?))

((Oh yeah, misread one of the votes.)

"Kannii Blueblade. I am a..." she shot a sideways glance at the troll runeuser. "... blade for hire, in a manner of speaking. Feel free to leave your enemies unconscious."
Krom returns the glance, and gives Kannii a look when she so nonchallantly implies she will be ignoring the Mira's request. He understood, of course, but that hardly meant he approved.
"Kill when needed, but live foes make for fewer enemies."

"I would argue quite the opposite, ser. Dead foes rarely come back, and 'tis hard to hunt a shadow. None can speak your name in curses of vengeance with a grinning throat."

She turned to the barman. "Then tell us, ser, about the southern and western jobs. I do believe the remaining can be discounted."

He bobs his head, smiling coldly. ‘Well there isn’t much else i can tell you about them personally, you understand? I only have what they give me. But the job setters should be able to say more, yes?’ He hesitates, before blinking quickly. ‘Oh, yes! You don’t know where they are, do you? Ah, for the Western job, you will be wanting to see Captain Stoneflow, of the Windsmith. He’s been running back and forth between us and Bastion for over a century, and he’ll tell you whatever the king’s told him. You should be able to find him down on the bottom tier somewhere, probably at his ship as the inn down there has been burned down. And as for the Southern, you’d be after the Dragonslayer himself. I believe he is at the Palace this very moment, though of course he is the new guard captain and so failing that he should be at the barracks.’

"More often than not, you will not meet your foes again if you let them live, either. Moreover, I doubt your claim--and even if not, every member of this group is relatively distinctive...we would accrue enemies quickly if we began wantonly killing people. Their friends, family, quite possibly their lords or employer, probably any students or apprentices...that is quite a number of people to be angering at once."

"Ah, thank you very much. So, who should we see first? Captian stoneflow sounds closest."
"In absence of an argument another way, aye."

"Which claim do you doubt, ser? That the dead don't come back, or you can't speak with a slit throat? I could demonstrate on you if you truly wish. And while I look like this, 'tis not hard to change. I can change the pitch and tone of my voice, the manner I walk, my clothes, my hair. And you miss my point, anyway. If none know you as the slayer no can point their blades; two men can keep a secret if one of them is dead."

"Letting such things simmer is rarely ideal."

"And letting debate cause inaction is even less so. Let us be off."

Without another word, she smoothly pivoted and went towards to the door.

Go see this Captain Stoneflow, with or without the group.

Krom heads out, talking as he goes.
"I doubt your claim that you cannot be hunted. No man, nor woman, nor troll can run and hide forever. And, really, do you think that you can cut a swathe of bodies across the land without anyone taking notice? Especially in this company?"

Wesley follows not taking part of the conversation and instead making himself look rougher. He ruffles his hair up, musses up his clothes and ties a rag around his forehead.
