"It seems I need to put more faith in Kannii, shes doing to bad." Gerwick, crossing his arms, smirks slightly.

(10+5v9+?) The two blades clash once again as they meet midfield, both combatants having moved simultaneously. A flurry ensues, each blow met by another, before a thin, deep line of red traces the Mira’s arm. (13+?v14+3) A boo echoes from the crowd in support of their comrade, but it is not needed as her second blade traces a mirror image on Kannii’s flesh.
She steps back, allowing both to rest, and nods in acknowledgement. ’Continue?’

Wesley claps enthusiastically.
"That was marvelous! But, we do still need to find the captain and ask about that job. Business before fighting and all that."

Kannii took the respite to finish cleaning the sand out of her eyes. She blinked a couple of times. "Of course, fair lady." She grinned again. "First blood to me, it seems, though you got it soon enough. Shall I count in or you?"

She span her knives in her hands, shifting her balance, never keeping fully still. "Oh! One second." she turned her head to her companions, but followed the mira still with her eyes. "Find the Dragonslayer. I am believe you are wise enough to ask the right questions, and I trust your judgements." She turned back to the mira. "Let us continue."

When combat started, she thought, she'd move in a diagonal to the right. Even miras were mostly right-handed, but Kannii had always been trained to use both. She'd dodge and sway the mira's swings, blocking with her right dagger those she could not. The left dagger would score the arm again, a target easy and unlikely to be fatal.

(( Left handed unluckily :P On an interesting side note, only ~2.7% of the mortal population are left handed though))

 ’Three. Two One.’
(12+5v14+?) The Mira sees the maneuver coming, and manages to partially turn her upper body to face Kannii, somewhat - but not completely - mitigating its effectiveness. (13+?v16+3+1) However, her response is also predicted, and the Mira’s blade finds only clear air as its intended target twists around it. (14+5+1v9+?-1) Her dagger finds the shoulder, scoring a deep wound in its surface, and cutting the sleeve to show the silver skin beneath, now turning swiftly red.
A scattering of applause scores the boos this time, the loudest of which comes from a window overlooking the yard. the elf standing there, in full dress armour, motions for the group to come up, indicating a set of stairs in the corner.
The Mira, meanwhile, presses a hand over the wound. She turns to her challenger, wincing, and grins regardless. ’You fight well. Very well, in fact. Though - if I may ask - what business do you have with the captain?’

Kannii smiled, nodding her head in thanks at the compliment. "Yes... we were intending to ask the Dragonslayer about the job hunting brigands. But when I saw you, I could not resist." She noticed the elf and his gestures. "Is that him? It seems our duel has come to an end, fair lady. I thank you for the honour. But before I go, may I have your name? If i return here I would be interested in another session. Few I've fought have had your speed."

Sorrel claps politely at the sellswords skill, but seems distracted by her own thoughts.

’Yes, that’s him. decent enough guard.’ She sighs. ’Although got there more by luck than anything else. As for my name - it doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue above the water - most of the guards just call me Floe though.’
She turns to walk away, heading towards the healer’s rooms. About halfway there, she hesitates, looking back and halting. ’Hey, be careful on that ‘brigands’ -’[/] She says the words slowly, as if to put it in doubt ’- job. When you’re dealing with the Varden’s it’s best not to believe everything they tell you about your enemies. Hell, if you want a little bit of an edge come meet me in the break room when you’ve finished talking to the boss. I figure I owe you for the first loss I’ve had in a while.’ She turns, and continues, before stopping again on the threshold of the doorway. ’One more thing - you’ve got my name, what about yours?’

"Oh! How rude of me. I am Kannii Blueblade. I shall see you afterwards, then." She bowed farewell.
As the mira disappeared into the healers Kannii looked around. She spoke to the rest of the group as she flicked the blood off her knives and slid them into the sheaths.
"Well," she smiled her wolf-smile. "We can't say I haven't made a good impression. Let's meet this dragonslayer."

Beneath her smile, she wondered quietly. She was no stranger to deception or to lies, but it was always best to know exactly what was going on - and for others not to know that you did. She looked at the cut on her arm - barely a scratch. It had already stopped bleeding. She might see the healer after she'd visited Flow in the breakroom, get it washed out. Couldn't be too careful, after all.

She, along with her companions, went to see the Captain of the Guard.

The other Mira looks up after a moment.

"And I'm Sorrel D'sama."
