I'm looking for a management simulation game which plays like the soccer/football manager games, but instead of managing a sports team, you manage an e-sports MOBA clan.

I'm looking for a good, relatively obscure JRPG with an engrossing story. Something similar to FF6 or FF7.

I'm looking for Savage-like games (RTS/FPS hybrids), but in 2D.

Terranigma?

It's not turn-based though.

I've heard Suidoken 2 is good.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Define obscure.

What jRPGs are good for a player new to this genre?
Also I'm eager to play something like Wizardry 8, but not from the Wizardry series.

Etrian Odyssey, any of the core titles. It's a JRPG, and Wizardry is explicitly stated as an influence. It is a first person dungeon crawler, too. It's very difficulty though.

Might and Magic would fall under this. Specially games 6 7 and 8.

Also those are nothing like jrpgs.

If you are looking for a Jrpg try any of the final fantasy games.
Septerra core is neat.
Chrono Trigger.
Chaos Seed (altho its not a pure Jrpg its still worth suggesting)

I own a couple of them, and IMO they could be counted. Probably not the best example though.

Bravely Default might be good for those just starting JRPGs. Also, if you have a Playstation Vita, Persona 4: Golden is a must.

Final Fantasy VI is pretty easy and IMHO one of the best JRPGs ever, period. As long as you take care to stay a few steps ahead of what level the game expects you to be, you won't have to grind until pretty close to the end. Once you've picked out your A-Team and gotten them to level 60 or so, there's not much you won't be able to take on gameplay-wise.

I recommend the GBA version for extra content. The bonus dungeons are pretty neat, and I think the hidden Dragon minibosses were exclusive to GBA as well.

Don't know anything about Final Fantasy, but OFF meets the other requirements.

My experience with JRPGs is very limited, so take this with a grain of salt, but I liked Last Scenario a lot. It's not actually Japanese though and it was made in RPG Maker, but the majority of artwork is original and the story gets pretty interesting once you get past the (intentionally) incredibly cliched beginning. And it's free.

Lufia 2.  I'll also recommend Septerra Core.
