It's not exactly a game I'm asking for, but it's close enough.

I want a mod for Shogun 2 Total War. One that rebalances the game somewhat.

http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?437766-Shogun-2-Realism-(S2R) haven't tested the shogun variant but the modder is my to go modder for this kind of things and used his realims pack on every other total wars. (then modder quit and pack was picked up by people)

I often have fun with smooth combo-based fighting games and strategy games with classical. Depending on what, exactly, you can pair it with anything, though. It's like wine.

I am currently looking for a game that plays nicely alongside loud classical music. Symphonies in particular. I can link examples if necessary.

i always played burnout revenge with classical music for some reason

Pretty much all non-scifi strategy games would work.

I think Homeworld's pacing and visuals go great with classical music. Grand space-based games in general should work.

Frontier: Elite II always did (it included some, too, despite fitting on a floppy disk and having room for saved games).

I bet Elite: Dangerous does as well, although I haven't played it.

Anodyne?

Theres also this thing:  http://www.solarus-games.org/

I have not tried The Fall of Gods, but it looks cool:  http://roys-msn.wix.com/tfog

One day, Hyper Light Drifter might come out...  Not exactly zeldalike, but maybe if Zelda had a baby with Sword and Sworcery or something...

You could try the adventure time games. They are basically homages to Zelda games.
However i never played them myself and the reviews are mixed so its your call if you want to try them (unless you already did).

In any way there are 2 games i know of.

"Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!"
Is a homage to Zelda 2 (you know the side scrolling one) and is availble on DS and 3DS (there are emulators so it's not a problem if you don't have a console)

and

"Adventure Time: The Secret Of The Nameless Kingdom"
A homage to the more classic Zelda games (top down).

I feel like playing games which have any of the following. Vampires, Werewolves, Liches and Necromancers. Rather then just having them though, I would be looking for games where you either are, or become, one of the previous. I would also like the game to include them with meaningful interaction with the rest of the game/story.

A bit more clarification. In Skyrim you can become a vampire. However, outside of the mechanics of being one it doesn't have much impact on the world around you. People don't grow suspicious. The same with being a werewolf.

The games I'm looking for don't need to have being a vampire or werewolf as the main theme, just as long as it's built into the game more than an entertaining diversion.

I've played Vampire: the Masquerade: Bloodlines and I know of Redemption. In Might and Magic 7 and onwards you can make your mages a lich but they're not that heavy on character interaction.

Every Elder Scroll game since Dagerfall.

Arcanum you could play a necromancer, had some interesting story line options.  Including the ability to summon back the souls of the dead and interrogate plot relevant information out of them.

While you can be a vampire in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, aside from a few quests and NPCs becoming hostile to you if they discover you there isn't that much more to it. I'm looking for games which has it more as a choice like the moral system in "Knights of the Old Republic" for example. You don't have to be evil, but it gives you different dialogue and interactions throughout most of the game.

I'll give a slightly different request; Does anyone know of any RPGs that allow you to become a vampire/werewolf/supernatural being aside from the Elder Scrolls?

I'm pretty sure they all had redemption quest lines.

Do look at Arcanum for the necromancer, though.

And I know you didn't necessarily want it to be the primary focus, but the Legacy of Cain series was good.
