In Vandal Hearts when you kill someone they split apart in a fountain of blood. I hope you keep in mind how wonderful this is and how rewarding it feels to the player.
Y'know there should be options for everything.

Vandal Hearts is a PSX game. An age where options menus were highly.. Well.. Optional. :p

Can't help but see "Jian Forms" in there. We going to be seeing ancient Chinese goodness?

Yeah I think the menu was

New Game
Load Game

If you wanted to quit all you had to do was shut off the power.

(I joke, but yeah there weren't many menu options)

Why would you ever want to turn off fountains of blood?

More importantly, why wouldn't blood have a scroll bar?

Hang on, what if the blood was the scrollbar? Like that's how you scroll the page, is by killing things. And the amount of scrolling is proportional to the size of the blood spray. The option to disable blood is at the very bottom of the page >______________>

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It'd be kind of cool to see an option for blood fountains sizable to the amount of damage you did.  Early game?  You've got tiny little blood fountains that you might see out of a water fountain in a high school.  Late game?  Vegas hires you to do those water shows they have in their fountains in front of hotels and stuff.

I'd play that game just for the feature.

Talented, nerdy people coming together and being successful make me jealous. You guys have the potential to make me very jealous. Maybe.

And then add in Haemomages who have bigger and better spells depending on how much damage your other teammates have dealt and taken, due to bloodfountain.
