I guess we need to ask ourselves, do we really want hopeful developers talking about big ideas in this section of the forum?

Yes.

I don't want to be the bearer of pessimistic notions but dreams and ideas are easy, I for one have many. When you actually produce some work, I will take you seriously. This is how it works in the professional world, e.g. "Talk is cheap"

As a professional game designer and developer, I agree! Also, I'd like all our games to be done right now too, because I'd rather like to start playing them... unfortunately, Rome wasn't built in a day, companies take time to form and get settled, and code takes time to be written.

Anyway, for those not ignoring this thread, have a thing:
Welp. I know what I'm going to be obsessively speculating over for the next few weeks now.

In Vandal Hearts when you kill someone they split apart in a fountain of blood. I hope you keep in mind how wonderful this is and how rewarding it feels to the player.

This looks interesting. PTW

Also, if you ever need someone that can make a (crap) flash game with AS3 or maybe voice act, you can always ask me :P

Yeah, Ragdoll physics sucks. Let's bring back 'explosion of gore' physics.

Personally, I prefer ragdoll physics. It's always entertaining when you knock enemies flying away.

It's also entertaining when he explodes into his component organs and limbs and they fly everywhere. Or drop on the ground in a neat stack, I'm not picky.

Actually the VH animation wasn't that bad. I think the dying guy went into his "oy I ben hit" pose and the attacker stops midway through his attack animation so the sword looks like it's stuck in the victim, and this fountain of red pixels sprays upward from the ground under him. It's not like those ambiguous games where he could have just been KO'd and walked it off after a pint and a pickled egg. That guy got cloven and exsanguinated. And to achieve that all you gotta do is make a fountain of red pixels.
