Neat. I read through the IC thread and most of this one. Still kinda unclear of what to be though.

- Is there land left? Who's noble shoes do I have to lick?
- What goes where. The map is kinda unclear to which forts/holds are occupied and by whom etc.
- Is there some role that needs filling for the plot, whatever it may be?

You can be a Noble, or you can be someone else--I remember a standing rule that it should be a person of prominence, or some influential person (I mean we have religious cultists characters here) due to the length of the forum thread and how RP plays out, it may take quite a lot of difficulty if you play a minor role (ie Peasant). Unless you go and claim a prophecy happened. :p

@Caz: We have one NPC duke and 2 NPC counts to be taken up  - don't worry, these characters are blank slates so feel free to take any. The distribution of land and who owns what is in the Kingdom spreadsheet the OP. We all swear allegiance to our grand Prince who reigns in the realm, with likelihood that counts and barons are subordinate to dukes. For everything else, what Tiruin said: There is no specific role to be filled per say, just what will make the best story. So plot, be chivalrous, have adventures or all of the above.

A note on if you'd be a Duke: You'll be taking that other patch o'land near the western side of the map: The one near Severance. You may be tied in with Azthor and I.

More like center. Yep! I was operating on what I remember the Prince said about the Valleyfall Duke.

What's the IRC channel? Also, if there is no water connection to Stormborough, how far is the closest port? Would it be very dangerous to move by land?

About as dangerous as it is for most merchants in your case Vagel. You can get around unharassed with an escort though. And the closest port would either be Stormport or Severance.
