Who said we were a mad wizard?

Or that gods would be involved?

Every single answer before this?

And it's more like a mad artificer which I think is some sort of magical science gadget guy?

Your mother works hard and is the main bread winner of the family, she produces very little when it comes to arms and armor and is more focused on producing tools.  Though being of dwarven make and seeing as how little dwarves care for gardening and wood felling, her business is barely steady in your first few years of life.
Your father on the other hand is a tinkerer, always trying to produce the next best thing, that will revolutionize dwarf kind.  Because of this he wastes materials and sells little, he's still relatively young and full of dreams!
you are now a child, your parents are poor, what do they do with you?
Oh, right.
Well lets take an excess of intelligence and dump wisdom because that sounds exactly like the kind of mad techno science wizard we're trying to make here.
And that's all there is. The only stuff that says anything about becoming a mad artificer has been a statement of intent by you.

I have yet to see anyone explicetly disagree with the mission statement in particular.

Aww.

Any particular reason?

Because playing a wizard isn't very original, and I'd rather try something more interesting?

Again, it isn't a wizard. I think. It's playing as that type of guy what builds giant magical golems, hides an enchanted ready to fire ballista in a bag of holding and possibly makes a giant flying battleship.

It's more 'I make the stuff what fight for me' than 'I cast fireball'

Lack of agreement is not agreement of lack. Wait, that doesn't work.
Anyways, I disagree with any pre-planned goal on principle.

Again, it isn't a wizard. I think. It's playing as that type of guy what builds giant magical golems, hides an enchanted ready to fire ballista in a bag of holding and possibly makes a flying chair that fires magic missiles at everyone below.

It's more 'I make the stuff what fight for me' than 'I cast fireball'
Like that's more original.

Like fucking anything is original.

I want a guy who can make a giant magical flying fortress. That is pretty uncommon.

Maybe in secret. Of a god which doesn't technically exist.

still need to know about this god of yours, and if he doesn't exist then you will get no actual benefits.  besides maybe a fate point.
