You decide to stay on the planet for some time, and have the entire ship overhauled. The hull is repaired, turret mounts are installed, and a variety of systems are upgraded, replaced and/or adjusted. You did have to sell the shuttle for funds, but in exchange you now have a Mercenary license, and all the other bureaucratic stuff that is associated with owning a warship. Additionally, as it's clear that 30 people is a little few to man a warship, you decided that it could help to hire some more people, provided they could contribute.
Artificial Intelligence
-An artificial intelligence currently resides in the system. He would be willing to join you, if you are willing to let him use the central computing system to sustain himself ((It's more than powerful enough)). Otherwise, he has little that he can bring to the table.

-Fired for unknown reasons. Legally not allowed to talk about it. He's pretty good with what he does, however.
Small Mercenary group
- A group of five people owning a small gunship, little more than a converted cargoship. It doesn't have a jumpdrive anymore, so they need to rely on another ship to carry them around.
((There're also generic crewmembers, engineers, and pilots which you can hire. They're not of very good quality as most prefer working at guaranteed rates.))
Additionally, the rest of the world has not been idle. Pirates have kidnapped the dignitary from the Azumaril system, heavily damaging relations with the House of Saeta. He's been taken aboard a so far unknown pirate . So far, there have been no requests for ransom. The situation in sector A-29 has also further escalated. Though the RMC continues denying any involvement, an unknown group is regularly performing mining operations in the system. There's now decent security.
Missing Cargo
A cargoship containing new ammunition for the house Saeta military has gone missing. Broadcasts suggest that it has been hijacked by pirates.
A-29 Drone hunt
150 credits per mining drone, 500 credits per mining vessel, 2000 for taking out the 2 capital ships seen in the sector. Significant defenses are present.
Pirate Investigation
The government offers a 1000 credit bounty on each pirate ship, a 2000 credit bounty on any hints towards the location of the dignitary and a 10 000 credit bounty for his safe return, with an additional 10 000 credit bonus if the pirate base is destroyed.
Investigation
Contact with a research organization doing jump drive research has been lost. A concerned relative of one of the people working there has asked you to investigate. Do note that this installation was somewhat secret, and that entry technically is trespassing. The station had modest drone defenses, and has ceased reporting 2 weeks ago.
