It slowly turns you into a literal zombie.
First comes the shambling, then the rotting, then the brain cravings.

That's only if you're unlucky. In the general population, you just get a caffeine rush, as you would with any similar product. Are there any specific concerns you have?

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well, anything with large amounts of caffine and sugar in is hardly gonna be good for your heart, kidneys or liver in the long run.

Well, actually, there's some evidence that regular coffee consumption reduces the risks of liver cirrhosis. And this product has no sugar in it.

EDIT: Cardiovascular side effects are bad though yeah.

It's only a matter of time until they just start selling energy drinks with epinephrine in them. According to Wikipedia, it is in fact an over the counter drug in the US (and extremely restricted in Australia, for some reason).

... Holy crap, you're right, says the guy who works in a pharmacy. I guarantee the only reason this hasn't already happened is that it appears to not survive oral administration, but I'm sure somebody will get approval for this kind of energy "shot" one day.

I wonder if you could get it through osmosis? Just hold it under your tongue and wait.

Hmm....epinephrine hard candy...

Energy drinks: health risks and toxicity - Gunja N, Brown JA. Med J Aust 2012;196:46-49. doi:10.5694/mja11.10838

Overall the scientific evidence for harm from caffeinated energy drinks is limited to excessive consumption only. When taken according to the packaging instructions, there's very low likelihood of any adverse events.

However, the standard health risks of consuming carbonated beverages applies regardless. Regular consumption of soft drink, even sugar free, has been tentatively linked with increased negative health outcomes. Evidence is far from conclusive in this area, so it's up to you to use your best judgement about what health risks you're willing to take.

But then, can they bite regular people and make them into zombies?

Moving on, is it any more bad than caffenated pop or coffee?

Caffeine is bad, fight the powah! Aspartame is also pretty nasty for you. Not conspiracy nut bad for you, but at the very least, it can trigger migraines.

Meanwhile I'm just casually chugging away 2-3 cups of tea every day.
Diabetes are going to get me real hard at some point, though, but frankly, better that than a liver or lungs failure.
