UltraValican
((Witty))
You cannot fall down to the feet of the steel figure, for it is holding you in the air floating. But your intensions are clear. An expressless face turns to Jurand and asks him something in that strange language they were talking. Jurand responds something that sounds confirming. You fall down to the rock floor of the library and prostrate yourself in a Kowtow. Figure gathers the books and you hear the voice in your head again, though now it sounds with average loudness.
Go away and do not return until my grandson summons you back, filthy creature. Do not even dare to think about telling someone of things happened to you in this place.
The figure leaves the library, and Jurand follows it. He answers on your short questioning look with an expression of the face and gesture both showing surprise and assurance of safety. He does that while walking behind his grandfather, of course. As they both leave, Librarian falls to the floor being no more than a pile of bones in cloth.
Well, you guess that you'll have to leave in an hour or so. you spend that time finishing the tome you've started, learning the material transformation. You now kno a lot of material entities, and now you guess you can transform them into each other.
Then, you go out of the castle, not daring to shamble around it anymore. You go out of the broken gates, and try to remember the direction you came from. [1] Unfortunately, you're unable to recover that data from your memory - you had a lot of more important things to remember. You're now almost lost in the middle of the fucking forest. Luckily, it is early morning now.
Alexandria
- No idea if our artillery-draggers survived the explosions. Well, there is only one way to find out, right?
You follow Hamilton in silence on his way to some kind of huge tents which serve as a hal-decent cover drom rain, as he explains by the way. Then you check out the vehicles inside. [5] They are perfectly fine to go and loaded with kerosine. Those do not have any trunks, however, and are supposed more to drag the heavy artillery units than ride through the wild. You guess that they can make 30 kilometers per hour tops, being unloaded. So, how do you plan to act further considering that?
WhitusOpus
You estimate the list a list of your arms:
- 4 SLUs, a total of ammo (if extracted from all the clips) is 60
- 2 CAS's, 20 bullets for those
- Your Winlee, with all the bullets you had at the beginning, expt one you shot.
- Robbin'-bobbin', jammed, 39 bullets
- Revolver Mk.IV, 18 bullets for it.
- Mat Revolver, fully loaded with no extra ammo.
- Bowie knife
Impressive arsenal.
You drive your car slightly closer to the city and begin to look for a decent cover for it. [6] You find a shabby church of some god. You do not remember which one, Dereligionisation was finished even before your birth. But this one was in a short appendix that branched out of main road. This place seems to be abandoned completely, and a small wooden house next to the main building of... chapel, you guess, is just enough to hold your car. It seemed to be woodcarver's workshop once, as you guess from rotten sawdust and rusty instruments scattered all over the place. Looks like this place was not disturbed since forgotten.
You stash your excessive guns here, wrapped in the piece of cloth you find nearby and consider decent wrapping for those. You get the trenchcoat - it seems to be clear and untorn by bullets. What a luck. A bit crumpled after gun storage, though, but who cares. Overall, this is a nice brown trenchcoat. With fucking lot of inner pouches. You get the letter you picked and put the folded paper to the inner pocket, as well as the money and watches. Then, you pick cigars, lighter and matches. You place the SLU under your seat, so it could be easily extracted, but remains unseen until then. You load CAS's and hold them as your personal weaponry, fixing them behind your back, held by your belt. Lock'n'load.
You drive back to the city the dawn already breaks over it by now. Not the best time to start investigation or trade - shady persons and useful guys are already asleep, merchants and pawnshop-keepers are still asleep. You ride through the empty streets of Capital city. Bright sun makes you squint. You metion a pair of round shades on the torpedo, however.
Caerwyn
You're inside, It is dark, pretty cold and awfully wet here. The torch brought by Urast almost refuses to burn, but still does. Inside, there is a straight corridor with the steel-forged doors on both sides. Some appear o be open - inside, there are some kind of forgotten laboratories and workshops, assembly lines and libraries. Strange. There is a stairway leading down in the end of the corridor. Explore the lower floor or inspect the siderooms?
