You see an intresting scene acting right on your eyes. A man that came just before you hands the guntrader a revolver.
 - Can I have a refund, please? This one seems not to work.
Gunseller examines it for a minute with a completey serious face. Than he grabs it and shoots the guy in the knee.
 - AWWW!
 - Looks like it works to me, - says the gunseller, smiling in the most charming way and showing two golden teeth.
Now about the assortment. Knives, swords, hatchets, all quite simple, but effective. Guns - rifles, pistols of all types.
 - Now, what does a young jentleman over here wants? Intrsted in something particular?

 - Don't be shy, man, try something more mean. Look here, I've got something for ya, - he shows you a fine pistol (local equivalent of Mauzer C96, if you know what I mean) - two modes: semi-automatic and full-auto. FULL AUTO, man, no jokes here. 14 mean rounds in the clip - forget about puny six in the revolvers. And what is the most important - no way it'll jam in the middle of fight. No way it jams at all if you care it properly. A full complect - pistol, holster and a bunch of ammo - just 60 singuluses. Today's only! You get this one and I give you a nice battle-knife for goddamn free because you won't need it anyway.

[5] [save] Lucky bastard stood too far to fall under this fearsome attack
[4] A wide arc just glanced him, but say that to his broken rib
[3] Unfortunate got his chest as a finish point of the arc - his inner organs are a mass of blood and meat

[3] Stood in the way of hammers movement - his legs are broken.

Two remained elves attack:
[5-2] One more wound on his arm. He starts to bleed (-1 for attack rolls for each future turn)

Trader picks a tailoring meter out of his pocket and makes a few measurements of your body. Than he steps away for a while and returns with a copy of armor he showed you, but of a bit different size.
 - Try it on. It should fit you.
You put it on. Feels fine. You pass him the money.

((It makes very little sense that it would continue. I have a hard time envisioning governments ever being on board with resuming a massive conflict just like that. Particularly since it's left large swathes of land devastated, farmers very unhappy and the empire of humanity in a great deal of debt. And especially since, as you pointed out earlier, the national socialists were apparently outlawed. There's only so far the government can go before its citizens get downright pissed off, and I'm thinking any halfway reasonable government would realize that before committing forces to resume hostilities that apparently ceased because both sides realized it would be a monumentally terrible idea to continue. And it's especially implausible that it would be the humans to resume hostilities mostly due to the fact that the Empire of Man is at its weakest right now, months out of a war they apparently lost, judging by the concessions made and whatnot. Hell, there's still remnants roaming about the wilderness. It works if the only treaty signed was an armistice, I guess, but I can't imagine the human population being thrilled about the most horrible event in history suddenly resuming and continuing.))

As for the question asked of me, the answer is Yes. I do want to get somewhere soon, yes.
