Hm...

There is only one (known) continent and only a few small islands. Large ships are almost completely unknown; sailors are typically sailing either cargo ships typically around 40-50 feet long, or smaller fishing boats.

Turn order is quite difficult to maintain in forum games, so I'll say screw it for now, just don't post another rule until everyone has posted one (or let's go with only one rule each one)

Excellent!

Humans are the only mortal race living on the continent, and are the third mortal race to be created. The other two races were destroyed by cataclysmic events before being replaced.

((Hopefully that makes sense to everyone.))

A cycle of destruction ravages the continent every 1000 years, dust storms and insane heat waves drying it to a bone.

It's ok to me, but because we can always go back in history (this isn't linear) and there is not such thing as "present day" it might no be that relevant in the end. But it's ok to me.

Massive gemstones dot the land.  They are the source of magic, and can be used as a focus to commune with various supernatural entities.

You sure? XP

Once Sheb posts his part of the Palette, we can start (I'll open another thread and this will remain as the OOC)

Can't we have another Palette round? I'd like to formalize the connection. I mean, come on, how many periodic cataclysmic events can one world have?

You'd have to formalize it ingame I guess.

Hey, Microscope turns do not follow a linear timeline, go wild.

If everyone wants another round, it's ok, although I think that kind of connections are better defined in events. But as majority wishes.

Btw, there's no limit to periodic cataclysms, you should see Anima Beyond Fantasy's Campaing Setting. (It's a Spanish tabletop RPG. It has a TVTropes page, but it is made by American fans who don't have as much info about the setting)
