PlayersFirst you need to start with the players. Work out who is going to play with you, and who is going to be who’s server player in advance. Otherwise you might leave someone out. Avoid having too many players in general, or you might make a colossal mess. You should also have a fast and easy way to communicate for everyone.
IMPORTANT: You need to have space players and time players. It’s best to have multiples, but you need a minimum of one space and one time to have a successful season.
SylladexWhen you play the game Sburb, you appear to get a “Sylladex.” These have cards used to store things in. It seem that much like a magic purse, when you “captchalogue” something, you feel no weight.
Every Sylladex has two decks of cards: a Captchalogue Deck and a Strife Deck.
A captchalogue deck is where you put most of the things you want to carry around.
A strife deck is where you keep all your weaponkind, or “Strife Specibus.” Remember: choosing your strife specibus and putting your weaponkind in the strife deck will clear out somespace in your captchalogue deck, but this will be your weaponkind for the rest of the game.
The Sylladex has a legacy of being hard to use. There are many different types of modes, that seem different for every player, so I won’t be able to tell you how to manage yours very well, but you should be able to figure that out on your own.
More to come later on Captchalogue cards and how to use them with the game appliances.
Cruxtrader and SpriteThere are four “Core devices” in this game. Let’s start with this one:
This is called a Cruxtruder. Your server client will place this in your home somewhere. You should probably tell them where it’s best for you to put it. I recommend having your server player using “build grist" (more on that later) to make your room bigger so you can put all of your Core Devices over there so you don’t have to run around your house to get to them.
You’ll notice a countdown. You should take note of the time on it and hurry to get everything you need fished before then done before it ends.
Have your server player drop a heavy object right here:
The top should pop off and a “Kernelsprite" should pop out. After this you can retrieve "Cruxite dowels" by twisting the handle. I will explain how to use these later. You should
focus on your sprite for now.
Everything you prototype pre-medium will influence the things you have to fight, and the entire game in general. You probably should avoid protoyping the same things as your other players though.
I recommend only prototyping it once now, before entering the medium. But WARNING: All players MUST prototype at least once before entering the medium, and once they get to the medium they MUST prototype a second time if they haven’t done it before.
The sprite’s other purpose besides setting up the game for you should be to to give you knowledge about the game, so go for a picture of a fictional character, real person (living or dead) or a pet for the second prototyping.
Now, back to the “Cruxite dowels”:
twist one out and bring it to your Totem Lathe.
Totem LatheNext of the core devises is a Totem Lathe. It’ll look something like this:
Okay, now you should have your Cruxite Dowel that you got from your Cruxtruder. Put it in between the clenches. Some spikes should come out right above them. You should place your prepunched card that your server player will give to you into the slot. It should look like this:
I’m not sure how to activate this device exactly, but you should be able to figure it out on your own.
When it activates, it’ll do something like this:
Keep in mind the pattern carved on the Cruxite Dowel is different for every player.
Now, grab your newly carved Cruxite Dowel and bring it to the Alchemiter.
AlchemiterThis is the Alchemiter.
You can upgrade this later, but right now you have other things to worry about. First, place your cruxite dowel on the stand.
An automated process will begin. You will receive a cruxite artifact. Since it is different for every player, I can’t help you figure out what to do with it. If it is an apple, you might take a bite, or an egg you might wait for it to hatch.
If you have time, say goodbye to your world and the people you love who aren’t playing the game before anything with your cruxite artifact, because this is your last chance. If you don’t have time, use it immediately.
If you use it right you’ll be transported to the Medium.
Of course, you can use your Alchemiter to make other things, and I’ll explain how to do that later.
