I am worried about royally messing this up due to my complete unfamiliarity with the genre.
If it makes you feel better, my only experiences are a few forum games and TV Tropes.

Unless Lina Inverse counts as a magic girl.
She fought magic girls

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.
Morpheus, a magic girls game

So from what I'm seeing, my char went from looking something like a version this that's a bit thinner and has black hair

Into something more like this with slightly tanner skin

You're the Sun one, right?
No, your skin is gold. Like, the metal. Or Scion, if you read Worm.

...What's wrong with Lina Inverse as a magical girl?
She doesn't fit the personality type.
Although, come to think of it, she and Nuriel have a lot in common...
Hey, Elf, fancy a Slayers crossover?

Amelia is more magicalgirlish really.
True.
Slayers? Go ahead. If you can explain how it can open without opening another portal.
Simple. She exists somewhere in the world. Just like the Persona characters.

On further thought, I must complain about my character's obvious and permanent appearance change.
After all, no one else received a similar change due to their powers and they didn't get a 5 in their nothing bad happening to them roll.
And such a change in appearance would be a bad side-effect; having to explain away the changes to everyone who knew my character before the event and making it much harder to not completely stand out.
I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for that 5 really.
It's not permanent. You switched back.
Lots of people have alternate forms. It's a magic girl thing.

....eh.

Persona = Urban Fantasy
Slayers= Medieval Fantasy

IT HU-oh hang on alternate universe counterparts its all good now.

Magical girl forms.

And now I have the mental image of my character's having dragonfly wings, a swirling vortex at her feet.....and cow horns.

I wonder why.

*Spit take*

The game has actually begun? Holy cow. Reading through it now.

EDIT: My very first roll is a one. This bodes well.

KK, so like that 2nd one with gold gold skin then. Gotcha.

Ah, really? Not the impression I got from it. Perfectly OK with it now though.

I just noticed that Keith was the only one to actually think about dodging one of the fragments. So, score one for Keith.

No, Yukari tried to dodge hers.

Then I didn't notice. On that note add one for Yukari as well.

...So this is how it feels to be late to the IC thread..again.

..Everytime. >_>

EDIT: No roll for my character? <_<

EditII I suppose by the vacant lapse between the 'being hit by a meteor' and whatever else I felt, that means I woke up? Got it.

EditIII: The name is HIROMI. Ugh.  :-\

It was midnight when I rolled your turn.
And, let's face it, chances are you're better off without a roll to avoid getting horribly injured by a magical meteor thing.

Indeed it is, everywhere except that one post. Again, midnight.

I just noticed that Keith was the only one to actually think about dodging one of the fragments. So, score one for Keith.
To be fair, most didn't notice in time, and really it didn't matter.

Check pants status.
You have pants. You would have thought they would have burnt when you were set on fire.

Hm, why would people be staring at you? Maybe because you just set yourself on fire and walked away unharmed?
Why do I have a feeling now that for every combat scene she's in, she'll be on fire and holding flammable melee weapons?

Well, its better than my mental image of Rag's character entering every battle by warping it into vaguely Freudian dreamscapes and stabbing everything to death with a knife.

So, what is everyone's alternate form?
Keith obviously doesn't have one and just walks into the battle field and punches things/make them rip out their own still beating hearts.

Bugger if I know. I guess we'll have to wait and find out.
