Yeah I just worked that out. Thanks anyway, I must have misunderstood earlier. The syndrome works now, but as I said  it still targets the Neried (I removed its immunity), even after I changed C to A.

Make sure to replace every C with A in the paralyze one.

I did. Triple, no Quadruple checks.

According to the wiki, there are four ways to spread a syndrome,
[SYN_INJECTS] Injecting a poison directly through an attack
[SYN_INHALED] Inhaling a syndrome carrying gas
[SYN_INGESTED] Eating/drinking syndrome
and
[SYN_CONTACT] Which is the one I used, and unfortuanatley, only takes effect if a creature comes into to contact with the blood of the infected creature, not just any contact. SO, essentially what this syndrome does, is give the Neried poisonous blood for a while. Not really what I wanted to accomplish. I apologise for being so royally stupid, thank you both for your time.
I'll try and get it to work via other means.

None of those are necessary for interactions.

Done. Still not working, but interestingly neither is the VERB. It's not showing up in the combat log.

In an attempt to stop the Nereid trying to paralyze itself, I added IT_IMMUNE. Again, this failed.

IT WORKED! I think...
I was playing as a dwarf adventurer in a newly generated world, and was in the process of assaulting a necromancer tower when this happened;
You lose hold of the steel short sword.
You lose hold of the iron shield.
You are completely paralyzed!
The Nereid Corpse punches you in the head, bruising the skull and bruising the brain.
You have been struck down.

Further testing is needed, but I think we cracked it. Thanks Putnam!

EDIT- Yep, works like a charm, a group of five nereids just annihilated a group of five goblins in seconds.

Now I have a mental image of half-decayed corpse of mermaid "gently touching" someone in the head.

Balanced the Paralysis interaction so it should no longer be an insta kill (affected parties used to suffocate with no way to save them) at least when used on humans. Smaller creatures may be a different story, due to the SIZE_DILUTES tag.

Here it is along with the Naiad interaction, should anyone else need it.

Be aware that the interaction doesn't work in adventure mode, and also that the verb doesn't seem to work either.

Naiad

Individually, each attack from a Naiad is very weak, but they act like a machinegun when firing. A group of them can help suppress the enemy while something bigger and nastier takes them out. They can get lucky, and kill with a headshot, even against humans.
