How about just randomish portals to some dimension of monsters, causing them to leak through? Perhaps we could try and fit in some evil lord type into that, controlling said groups of monsters?

How about we have a plot where for some reason the group goes to the TF2 universe and gets hired by The Administrator/Saxton Hale to fight The other team/Robots in return for free weapons/hats/cash/Austrliam?

Yeah... Still though. We have the people to recreate the classes. Kyle could be the Engineer, Angel could be pyro, Yuri could be the Demo, Conny could be the medic...

Well, now that I think of it Commissar Snikerbottum could be a Soldier or a Heavy maybe... Keith as a Spy?

Also stealing Autralium is a must if only for the fantastic effect of Kyle becoming like Saxton Hale.
