scraps looks like another multiplayer game with vehicle building.

but the physics, the art style and the terrain insofar showed made it stand out from many others I have seen, like space engineers.

When I was a kid I remember playing with Legos and thinking how cool it would be to have an MMO similar to Planetside 2 (obviously that wasn't out yet but it's a good example) mixed with creating your own vehicles with Legos. it would include land, sea, and air vehicles, and by air vehicles I mean spaceship type stuff or zeppelins and stuff.

This game looks like a small portion of my childhood dream =p

     Using the three large cannons on a medium chassis is a good way of playing billiards, although don't shoot the smallest crates, they look like they go orbital - pretty sure I lost a few to the darkest corners of the test field.
     It is fun, but I hope they add a lot more chassis to play with.

I messed around in this, and I have to say, I really like what I'm seeing, even in the game's current state. The only real complaint I have is that the physics could use a little work. I find my vehicles, even when well balanced, to flip and tumble way too much.
I also did some testing to figure out the best engine set up, as the more engines you add, the less efficient they are, and the result seems to be, as far as only two engines go:

Oh man, I'm loving this already. Just set up a speedy bastard design with a single medium cannon that can hit 365k/h. When I stripped off the gun and generators I managed to get up to 460k/h. I can't wait for multiplayer. xD

     With the right parts in the right locations, you can hit the ramp at 500 kph and glide for a long way, land on your wheels and keep on driving.
     That said, the flight dynamics suck.

Yeah, for a demo/alpha it felt really... polished.  There wasn't really any bugs that I could see, and it felt good to play.

The comment about planetside 2 is totally spot-on. I wonder what excuses game companies have for not including vehicle construction. "It's difficult", they would whine, "we don't have it in the budget." "We need to ship this mofo." The meaningless dribble of words words words falls out every time their pathetic worthless faces open.

Just give us the damn vehicle construction. Just do it. I want Car Wars.
