After a conversation w/ elf I have worked out a way for this to make everyone more or less happy, 30 energy for Ada and Angel.  In story reasoning being that Angel's ordinary weapons power burnt itself out protcting her against the poison.

You only remembered because I commented on it. That was literally the only way she was going to be able to beat you. She attempted it last battle, I mentioned it this battle when Cullodus used the fool to copy it. You can complain about this all you want, but I'm not changing the outcome, Im sorry.

It's one thing if a stupid mistake costs me some energy, even half my energy. But it cost me the whole frikkin' match! This is pretty dang unfair from my POV, especially since I changed my action, but oh no it was too effing late lol!

Ada and Angel circle one another, eyeing each other warily.  Angel releases some tiny fireballs that seem to follow Ada as she tries to get under Angel's defenses.  Ada sees an opening and manages to get through, allowing her to deliver a punch to Ada's gut, breaking her concentration and the fireballs go sailing away.

Remaining Energy:
Angel: 25
Ada:30

Ada charges, hoping to get a quick attack in.  She delivers another crushing blow to Angel's ribcage, causing the girl to double over.  In doing so, Ada misses Angel's feathers gaining a sharp edges.  Angel releases her feathers, a number of them pinning Ada to the ground, as the tentacles of the Abyss rise up to grab her.  They both have a hard time fending off the clasping tendrils, but in the end, Angel succeeds in fending off her attackers, and Ada is almost all of the way in when the portal closes.

Victory Angel.

The crowd throws up a tremendous cheer, greater than anything that Angel has yet heard.  As Keeper Moretti descends from his platform.  "Fantastic! Amazing! Incredible! Unbelievable!  Truly a spectacle for the ages!  You my dear are incredible, do you have anything to say to this lovely crowd on this wonderful day?"

"Good job girl, now the real work starts"

Ada opened her eyes and looked around the room, the first thing she noticed was Kyle. At least she thought it was Kyle his body had changed but his face definitely looked similar to what she remembered him looking like. For a moment she wondered what she was doing here but then she remembered what had happened. She had lost, she had been so close but in the end she had been defeated. Her one chance of getting the money had vanished, a sigh escaped her. Ada eyes rested on Kyle again and saw him wave, she forced a smile on her face and waved back at him.
