Cullodus looks around, clearing his throat....and suddenly it sounds less deep, more...feminine.
"I don't understand why he told me to do this, or why it was so important to him.
Master Cullodus didn't die for nothing, and I have to fight on.

She plays with a tarot card; the Moon, it was labelled. The woman sighs.

She couldn't remember WHY Cullodus said she had to do this, but she knew it had something to do with his death.

She'd fight for him to the last, she reflected.

Kyle raises an eyebrow.
"I think I will not finalise my wishes until you tell me why that made you nervous."

Kyle raises an eyebrow.
"I think I will not finalise my wishes until you tell me why that made you nervous."

"One of her powers has had a history of being... erratic.  I'll be glad to have you two work together, if you're willing to fight off flaming tentacles intent on dragging everyone into another dimension.

Opening the door, Ada can see that there is no one outside and a single small glass screen has been left at the foot of her door.  "Rm #304 for a time" displays on the screen.  Again, it disappears very quickly and the screen fractures to sand in her hand.

Ada quickly shut the door as the screen disintegrated and put her combat gear back on, it looked like the message that had flashed on the corridor before had been meant for her. Someone obviously wanted her in that room and she doubted that their intentions were good. She stood just in front of the door, ready to open the door in case someone knocked on it again.

Ada waits idly for about 10 minutes before her room's internal computer announces in a polite, feminine voice, "Message for you Ms. Tezekiel."

She could already predict what the message was going to be, someone must really want her to go there if they were being this persistent. She let out a sigh, she supposed she better check it anyway though just to be sure it wasn't anything else. Ada then went to check what the message was.

Angel hurries away from the shadows, since I don't really know what else to do. Except maybe transform, but...um, nah.

"You know, I draw the line at tentacles. That Ada person was useful in the last fight. How about her?"

The voice that follows is heavily distorted, but the words are clear "Room number 304 for time."

Angel hurries away from the shadows, since I don't really know what else to do. Except maybe transform, but...um, nah.

As she runs, the shadows congeal into three distinct forms behind her.  "Well this is different.  Most would have lashed out at us by now." one says to the others as it floats behind Angel as she runs, "Have we finally found someone who may actually listen to us?"
"Don't be moronic, she'll break under the strain just like all the others." Says another.
"Well it can't hurt to try can it?" calls the third.  "If we've found someone who can, and we waste this opportunity, then we are just begging for more suffering."
"Ugh.  Fine, we'll do it your way.

Hey bitch, stop running and talk to us."

"You know, I draw the line at tentacles. That Ada person was useful in the last fight. How about her?"

"Hmm... I don't remember what she had exactly," he taps his table twice, pulling up a list of contestants and powers. "Staggering kick and Gom Jabbar, eh?  You could certainly do worse, like those morons from round 2 who spent a bunch of energy for powers that quite literally do nothing.  Lets keep her on hold for now, there's still three..." he says as the last member of round three is brutally torn apart by what appears to be a combination tiger, horse and chainsaw, "two rounds left."

Angel stops.

"What is it?"

"It seems that you are less prone to do crazy than most of the people who come into contact us.  We think that your mind might be stable enough for us to let you interact with our burning torturous abyss, safely.  Any questions so far?"

"...Why are we here?"

[MrVoid]

"Where the Abyss or the Worldship?"

[GreatWyrmGold]

"Um...The Worldship, I guess."

[MrVoid]

"Ugh... The harder of the two."
"Worldships represent humanity's second line of defense against extermination by supernova, planetary stagnation, black hole interventions and threats currently outside of its purview.  They are also an excellent way to break up the population of rebellious planets into small, easily memory wiped chunks.  But that's long ago.
