Towels and civilian clothing are hanging next to an advertisement for memory repairs in case things didn't come back all the way. A very rare problem.

Angel does so, adding red-feathered bird wings. She also adds neat crests along her arms and makes her taller and thinner (though still a child overall). She finishes off by making her hair green. Then she decides that she is ready.

Kyle tries on some different clothes before putting on some jeans and a tank top.

The chamber emits a pleasant gas, relieving any stress and putting her to sleep.  When she wakes up, she is exactly as the screen had shown, there's a warning on the screen however, that she will be unable to fly in her present state, her bones are too heavy, she'll need hollow bones (more fragile), and her wings aren't developed enough for full flight.  They'll grow with her as she ages, approximately 4 years for full flight, she could only be able to glide at the moment, or she can age up now.  It also suggests tail feathers for stability.

Ada spotted the clothing and quickly changed into it choosing simple trousers and a t-shirt, as she began to change she wondered that if the changes to her had also gone. She checked quickly and then continued to dress. After she had finished she turned back towards Kyle.

"That's better, I'm really glad you are back to normal now though I know what it's like to be transformed like that"

Assuming I can still change things: Add tail feathers. Hollow out bones, add air sacs, etc. Also make sure the wings are big enough.
Because really, what's the point of wings if you can't fly?

The pod releases the gas again, when Angel wakes up, its difficult to say that she's still human, but she can certainly fly.  She looks to be a tallish ten year old with red wings feather crests and tail feathers.
Does she release the pod doors and step out?

Sure. She stretches her wings, tries to fly, notices she's naked, and promptly covers herself with her wings as best as possible. Then she "lands".
"Ow!"

For a moment she looked at Kyle confused, did he really not understand? She would have to try and explain this to him

"It's not the hugging, it's more the naked part I wasn't comfortable with"

"It's not exactly appropriate for two friends to hug in that way unless they are taking a step forward in their relationship. A step that I'm not sure I'm ready to take yet"
