Kyle looks around then back to the man.
"Well, since it seems everyone in this bar is under your employ or something why isn't this a very private place? On the other hand if you aren't in the mood to deal with shit from a 'blank' lead the way."
Kyle seems very relaxed for someone about to be held hostage.

"Now now, we're all blanks here.  Some of us a bit more blank than others." he motions to his men who stand down.  "Here'll do nicely, glad to see you've got some balls to match your skin.  Would you be interested in a little... preparation for tomorrow?"

Kyle raises an eyebrow.
"If it will assist in my victory... I'd welcome the help gladly."

He laughs "Smart man.  Jon by the way."  He extends his hand, heavily scarred and calloused.

((Um...the faces were supposed to just be in Angel's head. And the Abyss.))

I thought all of this was in her head and the Abyss, which is technically in her head at the moment.

Kyle shakes his hand.
"Kyle. But you probably know that by now."

I suppose i should have said audio-visual hallucinations instead of dementia.

He nods, So, back to business.  22 hours from now, the next battle will begin and you'll be fighting for your life, and the life of one teammate. In that time, bets will be placed on everything, who you're going to work with, whether or not you'll win your battle, who you'll be fighting, etcetera. I've got an in that'll let you pick your teammate.  In exchange for doing so, you'll have to win this specific battle without letting your teammate die.  Do you think you could do it?

Kyle looks up thoughtfully for a little while before he nods.
"It sounds like that would be the easiest thing I'll have to do for a while."

"Well, see, the thing is, my bet isn't exactly on the more legitimate tables.  My bet is that you and your teammate survives. The person person I made this bet with has the same in that I do, and will be selecting both of your opponents. Doubtlessly, they will be intent on simply killing one of you. Especially if they are civilians, who aren't really risking life and limb for this.

"That's going to make this somewhat more difficult then. I'm probably going to have to push down the animosity I have for the Angel due to her being the best bet for me to work well with."

Cullodus retreats to his room, sighing.

Looking around carefully, he shuts all curtains, open windows and such, before taking off his coat and shirt, leaving a torso wrapped in bandages, and lying back on the bed he'd been provided.

Yet another tournament. He hoped he'd live.
