Supposing that I could afford to provide PLEX and other assets to people for free(through nefarious and diabolical means possibly associated with worship of chaos gods), how many people would be interested in playing EVE consistently enough to do fleet ops and eventually organize a corp large enough to eventually get into serious nullsec warfare?

I and possibly some other people with obsessive personalities, too much free time, and super sekret educations in all things gamebreaking have devised a plan to possibly make ridiculous amounts of ISK with little effort, and currently at least, no need to multi box.

However although a dedicated group of highly organized people who spent way too much time doing Warring Factions universe exploration and ATITD wood farming for research mats can produce ridiculous amounts of ISK through clever logistics, actually doing fleet ops requires large numbers of pilots.

I am not currently PROMISING to provide effectively limitless in game resources(effectively meaning not actually limitless but enough that normal human beings can't spend more than we produce easily), but I do plan to at least make a trial run at abusing the sandbox, through things that cannot be considered exploits so don't worry, and a fun endgame goal would be to at least attack large corps/alliances in 0.0 if not actually spend time grinding SOV because SOV as I understand it is even more tedious than multi-box mining with all the timers and shit.

This thread is just polling for interest. Assuming the 5 or so sites I post on can generate enough interest, ideally I'd like to have 50-100 people interested, I may proceed from there to the actual implementation of my plan.

Well I'm a long time veteran of EVE who kinda misses it so I definitely wouldn't turn down the opportunity to play it again, however I doubt I could be much use for you, seeing as I am quite apathetic about putting hours into EVE like I did back in the day, hell I'm quite apathetic towards putting long stretches of gaming into any game these days since I drift from game to game way to easily. (Except world of tanks, that's a permanent fixture in my life, but even then I don't do 5 hour stretches of it in one sitting)

Also note that PLEX only arrive on the market by people buying them with real money and then selling them for ISK. If you start producing "a ton of resources" to buy them up, their price will inevitably rise. This might lead more PLEX onto the market as well, but eventually you're likely to hit a point where you're not making enough to buy PLEX anymore despite how much you're "exploiting the system"

If any of that hasn't dissuaded you, how about this? "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

How soon would this be starting?  I'd definitely be able to play after the 18th or 19th once break starts, and I should actually have free time next semester because I'm not taking any robotics courses.

Buying a few dozen PLEX would hardly skyrocket the price. As far as scams go, I'm not asking for anything so how would I scam them plus at least a few people know me decently well, and its stupid to shit on a community you spend a lot of time in. Now if I had posted this on the Astro Empires forum or something, then it might be a scam.

At least a few dozen people can PLEX themselves using the method I'm working with. The main problem is how well it scales. The things I'll be creating for sale have a much larger chance to rise in price than PLEX itself which may damage the efficiency of my plan. It also matters how well production itself scales at high levels of time input. In theory the process should become MORE efficient production wise because of how economy of scale works.

MoLAoS has consistently been a pretty cool guy in the past, and it's not like I can see how he'd rip someone off within the terms of "I'll give you PLEX for free, just play with me!"

This offer intrigues me! I've been thinking about getting back into EVE a fair bit recently, having played for a few months in the past. Unfortunately, I don't actually think I have the free time to justify taking your PLEX.

I'm pretty sure what he proposes is within the realm of reasonable for moon mining. If we can simply get enough people together, it's very realistic to suggest we could wrest control of several moons from a small lowsec corp. Then six months from now we could be running incursions. At that point, if everyone plays 2-3 hours week, that's enough to PLEX everyone.

Getting a coherent group of regular players together is the only real difficulty.

Well, moon mining might be something to do when we have some active people. Considering that my plan involves a lot of tedious, or fun if you are a weirdo like me, gameplay, its unlikely to scale beyond me or a few people I know who are also weirdos, although a single person could theoretically provide up to 27 plexes with only a moderate amount of effort. But it probably can't fund a whole null-sec capable corp by itself. Of course once the ball gets rolling its possible that more lucrative activities with a higher fun quotient could allow for a good sized corp to form with the tedium subsidies just giving an extra boost.

I'd be keen to join if we could communicate easily enough. The most fun for me in MMO's is the social aspect; raiding in wow, KBD in runescape, flying formations in War Thunder, and so on.

If we can get that together, I can easily see myself spending lots of time ingame. I used to play 6-8 hour AOE3 matches because I had nothing else to do.
