It's just an outline, but it is.
...
Eh, I'm not terribly impressed. It's just the current system with more people to worry about and with an experience bar added.
I have every intent to make it more interesting if I ever get around to expanding it!

For a mech, you only need the pilot (Again, citing battletech. Maybe different here, but still) since the cockpit holds all the controls and the pilot is hooked-up into the machine itself. No ned for additional crew
If there's a direct neural uplink, perhaps. If, and perhaps. Otherwise, the pilot's going to be busy enough with dodging and not falling over that he'll need someone else to handle the missiles, guns, or whatever.

Also, about your remark about this not being battletech: I'm here, and I'm not gonna be making a single giant mecha.

That is... perfectly fine.

Nah, everybody knows that you only need 2 levers and at most 10 buttons to expertly pilot a giant robot! More seriously, I picture that something along the lines of the Mobile Trace System (ie. motion capture equipment) is probably used.

Eh, I'm assuming a few different systems, such as neural interfaces, haptic control systems and such.

And how do they fire the guns? Wouldn't it screw up the aim to have to have their mecha arms in a certain position every time they want to fire their mecha weapons?

The mech is smart enough to figure that out by itself :P

I don't know if I should point out the difficulty of making such an AI or the many dangers of leaving that up to a computer.

And how do they fire the guns?

Lots of different ways. Context-sensitive commands/motions, buttons operated by the left hand, voice commands (why do you think everybody yells while attacking?).

Wouldn't it screw up the aim to have to have their mecha arms in a certain position every time they want to fire their mecha weapons?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by this, to be honest.

The first one seems dangerous. The second, slightly less so. The third isn't terrible, but it still has issues. And overall, they fall prey to the second major issue: Multitasking. Your giant robot is going to be wanting to fall down more often than not, and you're being fired at. Combine that with selecting a target, aiming (compensating for range, movement, and potential dodging), and firing, and you have a recipe for disaster.
Needing two pilots is probably the only sensible thing about the Jaegers (Pacific Rim).
Analog? Really?

I was assuming some sort of button in the cockpit would need to be pressed.

Gore which I then place into the coffin,

-snip-

Deploying Units takes 1 AP. So you can't do all of your actions. Sorry about that.

Nah it's my fault I knew I missed something. I always seem to. Also it's fixed.

Awesome!

None unless you do not need to deploy a unit to stick an ace in it?

No, but both the Ace and the Mech have to be in the Unit Pool.

Ah I see. Okay then he gets into it next turn then. Not that big of a deal either way.
