We of the EDL accept the 1st, 2nd and 4th terms of this agreement, and the 3rd on the condition that it is within the Terran sphere - that is, the Earthly regions, the Lunar regions, and Columna. We also agree to a mutual trade of technologies with both the Terran Empire and the NERIELS, although out contribution may be delayed somewhat by it's nature. ((Warfare)) We would also like to propose that the 21 provinces of Terran space, as stated previously, be divided equally between the three signatures, such that our own provinces form an interconnecting region on the southern hemisphere, preferably E11, E4, E10, E14, E17, E8 and E9.
While we are not entirely comfortable with our diminished presence in Earth, we must confess E18`s potential as an advanced outpost has its value. We immediately agree to the suggested division, but ask that it remain reviewable upon refusal of our presence in the Mars belt by the Republic of Progress. Is that acceptable?
Memo from the Desks of the heads of the RoP
To All factions within Earth and Luna we the people of Mars would like to bring a treaty request. We ask that you do not attack us and provide a small defensive fleet if anyone was to ever invade our sovereignty and we would do the same. In return we will share all scientific breakthroughs we have with you and would like the same courtesy to be extended back. We will forever remain your allies if you agree to this.
Noted our immediate, if temporary, interest in the section of the asteroid belt that frontiers both Earth and Mars, we are, for our part, fully willing to bar any intervention further from the said region. We also concur to a Research Agreement and a Mutual Defense Pact, in terms equivalent to those signed within Earth. A fleet will or won`t be stationed near the belt at your convenience. We urge the other members of the Terran alliance to take on that agreement, but remind you that, ultimately, our reply is not binding of them.
