They look like fingerprints!

P.S. I have a touchscreen laptop, so touching the screen is perfectly normal. Now, please excuse me while I clean the screen.

I have a couple of questions for you Mastahcheese:

1.  When you die, if you decide to come back as a different species, could you then make yourself into a separate evolutionary branch of that species?
2.  Also, when you evolve do every member of your species do the same, or do some remain at their previous stage? (and essentially become fodder for everyone else)

Neat.  They look really, really neat.  I'll not post a heavily-adjusted picture though..  I'd rather tease.  ;-)

Well, if we assume it works like in Spore, the former.

Swim and try to find some smaller one-celled organisms to "absorb."

I don't have any eyes, but I am photosynthetic. Shouldn't I get +1 rather than 0?
Determine how evolution works in this game.
You have a 0 rather than +1 because your electro sense took a penalty.
I actually spent a whole minute deciding whether I should put "+1-1=0" or just 0.
You can evolve when you get more evolution points, which will happen automatically every few turns.

1. Yes! Actually there is a rather long back story following the E.V.O. strain, and I contemplated whether to run the precursor story prior to this one to explain how the E.V.O. strain operates. You all are actually 4th generations of the E.V.O. strain.
2. Some follow you, others lag behind. There is also a small chance some will mutate into a third thing entirely.

((Out of curiosity, am I the only person here who has heard of the SNES title named E.V.O.?))
Actually, I've never heard of it. The acronym this game uses is different.

Can we still join at this point?
Yeah, I'll still take applications during Chapter 1.

I'll make the turn in a bit, when I'm done with other stuff.

As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Why is my electric sense impeded by light?

I might need to look that up, I don't know much about it. To Tv Tropes (Warning: Link may not work)!

Never played it.

Why is my electric sense impeded by light?
It's not, it's impeded by the nearby electrical interference.
I mentioned it in the little flavor text at the top, might have forgot to include it in the effects section.
EDIT: Nope, I mentioned it.
