What happens if somebody kills somebody else? Are we eventually going to play multiple creatures of our species at once?

For killing others, there are multiple possibilities. You could assume a member of the same species (If there are other members), or you could become a member of a different race (the game is a little centered around survival of the fittest, so by the time Chapter 2 rolls around, the amount of species will likely be a bit lower.)
Controlling multiple creatures goes as far as your main creature is able to communicate with them. Since none of you can talk or bark or whatever, you are currently limited to just your one guy.

Also, when deciding actions, keep in mind what your creature is actually capable of.
So for you drifters out there, you can't control your movement.
And of you can't see/sense something is there, you can't target it.
This means that Xantalos pretty much can't do anything other than have his creature do it's normal responsive actions, and reproduce.
Oh, you need to find a mate if you want to get a pack/nest together, unless you're Xantalos, because he took that as a power. He's basically a virus in this.

tilt the top of your screen backwards.  Once you tilt it back enough you should see them.
