Apologize for your role in it's flaws and become indebted to it.

It doesn't understand what you mean, it demands that you fix it.

You attack it, trying to kill it. The giant doesn't like this one bit, and grabs you up. Turning, it sweeps you against a thick sharp pointed rock pinning you there with one massive hand, with grimace it scratches its head. It then pulls out a lock of its long hair and ties you to the rock. Turning to look at the flawed creation you tried to destroy the giant grabs up a hunk of ground and sets to work looking very strained.

You struggle to escape your bonds, must go on quest, must find gem. The hair is unyielding, its tensile resistance to breaking is much higher then you can give in your position of bad leverage. The giant finishes making another while you struggle and places it on the ground for the imperfect, it is also imperfect. The imperfects embrace and all watch the giant stand weakly, stumble in a few massive strides walking away, fall down and remain motionless, face down in the dirt dead.

Apologize to the imperfects and ask them to help you.

You try to talk the imperfects into helping you get untied, but they want nothing of you, maybe it has something to do with attacking the first. They start walking away, and you watch them go.

Bite through bindings.  Investigate dead giant.  Do these things have a limited lifespan?  Are they temporary workers made solely to create a few things, before dying?
Who made the giants...?

You try to bite the hair, its nowhere near your mouth and you cant bite it. You investigate the dead giant in the distance as best you can; looks like it indeed died due to overworking itself, the other giants farther off don't look to be overworking themselves to death like it did, just the survivable kind of overworking, maybe its death is due to making more of something then it should have. Maybe you could ask the giant whom is wondering over this way to investigate its dead kin.
