Thanks Cog and to everyone participating.
I don't have a current fortress save and no time to play at the moment so I've gone a long way back to the only artifacts I can get a picture of. This is from a time when there were only four demon types and adamantine hammers did serious damage. I was running a test fort experimenting on demons. While building the experiments I set a couple of dwarves to more than a decade of training and they became multi-legendary. I also seeded all the excess migrants with armorsmith skill which netted me three armor artifacts which I gave to one of the champions. After my failed experiments on the Spirits of Fire were complete I sent the champion to his death to see how many SoF he could defeat on his own if fully decked out in masterwork/artifact adamantine armour. The answer is seven before he roasted.
So here's what he was wearing at the time:
The boot is boring, its only saving grace is having the somewhat boot-related word "trammel" in its name. The platemail is a little bit more interesting and I was amused by its name considering that he was going to fight fire demons. The shield is my favourite because of the name and the scene on it. While I was experimenting on demons I hit the adamantine veins which caused the queen to arrive at my
fort hovel. I completely ignored all of her demands and she soon began tantruming which I also ignored. Eventually she snapped and went berserk at which time onul Inktooth strolled over from sparring and tapped her on the head with a hammer, killing her. Not long after, the shield was created and naturally it went to onul to commemorate his regicide.
Feel free to draw any one of the three artifacts or even onul wearing them all and dying a horribly crispy death.
