(You could improvise a Faraday cage out of the bits and pieces in your car, but it would be a roll on a d20 and you'd probably require a 18 - 20 to succeed. Anything less would be a faraday cage but would not succeed at whatever you use it for, 5 - 10 would just be a failure to build it and 1-4 would make it explode or something.)

Father Mikhail, without wasting time, walked around the room reciting a prayer to Our Lord the Consolator. He gave his census to Amelia, gently nudging her to follow him around and swing it.

Father Mikhail, without wasting time, walked around the room reciting a prayer to Our Lord the Consolator. He gave his census to Amelia, gently nudging her to follow him around and swing it.

Amelia is clearly delighted to be handed the censer and follows Father Mikhail with it, swinging it in careful arcs and smiling as she continues to look around the room.  Her mind is on his prayer, on her deep belief that God is Good, and on her curiosity about this spirit and all things spiritual, how wonderful that the world has such wonders and she gets to be a part of them.


Her eyes wide as Marvin says "I think I see something. A crib and a person...", and she spends some time looking where he is looking, still moving the censer in slow arcs and following Father Mikhail carefully as she watches.

Ok, no basement, and the crawlspace is minimal.

I could get a shovel and force my way into there, but that'll be plan C.

Head back into the house, see what some others are up to.

The first floor is empty, the family waiting outside, but you hear whimpers coming from the kitchen. It seems as though everyone else is upstairs however.

The curtains at the window flutter slightly, although the windows themselves are not open.

The silhouette was the size of an adult, though the proportions were wrong.
You reach out with your 'other' senses and for a second the room is completely different, the walls a cool robin blue, the floor hardwood instead of carpet, the children's beds gone and replaced with toys. But most of all, you see the pregnant woman setting up the crib and singing softly to herself.

You leave the others and head outside, passing Cromwell as you do so. A quick look-through shows that you do not have enough stuff to build a Faraday cage. If you head to an electronics/hardware store before tomorrow you might be able to do it then though.

Set up a full battery of surveillance in the Childrens' Bedroom, a camera and microphone in the Kitchen and Living Room, and the remaining cameras short distances from upstairs windows, so I can see anything which looks out them as well as the stuff outside.
