Yeah, I wasn't serious; I mostly wanted to keep this afloat while buying time to think.
(And making fun of Yahweh always has its appeal. I'm going to Hell if He exists, anyways--what more can He do?)

Sounds like a plan. We need to make it sound...Commandment-ier, though. Maybe something like:

"The first Commandment of Keith is that His followers must perform all of their actions in the most reasonable and logical manner to achieve the goals Keith, their leaders, and they themselves have set for themselves."

(This also helps prevent loophole abuse by stressing the spirit of the law.)

Well. How would a good god command his people?

...Or we could be like the Judeo-Christian God.
"Hit this rock!"
"Go through this really long desert!"
"You weren't supposed to know you were naked!"
"Rofl, you're pregnant now! And you have to give birth in a specific town, and you only own a donkey! Have fun with that!"
"You can't speak until you name your kid and you're not allowed to call him anything except what I tell you lol."

And don't forget the biggest one of all:

"Don't eat fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It's wrong to do so!"
(Especially when you consider that God must have made the snake...)

And then consider that the snake apparently had more free will than humans. Which makes me think god actually wanted them to do it just because they were his pet species.

Anything that happened, God wanted to happen.

9/11? God's plan.
The Crusades? God's plan.
The Holocaust? God's plan.
Come to think of it, weren't those all caused by people thinking they were working to further God's aims?
Yeah...that god makes Zeus look like a saint. A satyriasical saint, but still.

Uh, you do realize that the snake was actually the fallen angel Lucifer A.K.A Satan, right? Who had good reason to know of good and evil and be self aware? He was also the most powerful angel before he fell, so in the old world he probably just made or took control of the snake. As well, IIRC, Adam and Eve could talk to the animals or name them or something.

But let's not get into religious debate, let's just...

"The first Commandment of Keith is that His followers must perform all of their actions in the most reasonable and logical manner to achieve the goals Keith, their leaders, and they themselves have set for themselves."

(This also helps prevent loophole abuse by stressing the spirit of the law.)
Yeah. That.

You speak to your new followers, these young men of the village.

*The First Commandment of Keith, god of reason, is that His followers must perform all of their actions in the most reasonable and logical manner to achieve the goals Keith, their leaders, and they themselves have set for themselves.*

The young man at the front of the group speaks.

"Yes my lord, it shall be written. If my name is not Sam, it will be followed. Someone, please, bring me a parchment!"

One of the men brings out a parchment and quill, and Sam writes it down. You feel empowered!

((Technically Satan and Lucifer are different people but yeah pretty much everything else I know, I just like being wrong if I find it funny.))

Look for the people of reason we were told about may be good. Also fixing the field would be good to. Maybe fix the field and then talk to... the mechanic if we have time?

Personaaly, I feel that G-d chooses not to interefere because He's like the parent of a college-age kid. We want independence, we just suck at dealing with it.

Spoiler: Religious Ramblings (click to show/hide)

In case you haven't gathered, God is kinda one of my touchy subjects. (And I happen to know a lot about it.)
