The light from your phone is fairly dim, but as your eyes adjust to the darkness, you can see a fair amount of your surroundings. There is something you can almost see at the edge of the light, but it gets further as your eyes adjust, and when you can faintly see the far side of the room, the rasping stops.

You are in a large rectangular room, about 50 by 30 feet long. The piano strings, of which there seem to be 8 in this room, are about 12 feet off the floor, now that you can see them, and seem to still be filling the room with a faint humming.

The walls appear to be smooth wood, but the corners on the left-hand side are held in place by a series of very large pegs which, with some difficulty, you might be able to climb. Once at the top, though, it could be a bit tricky to reach one of the strings: and it's at least 10 feet if you fall.

It's a bit hard to keep the phone steady while you climb, so you put it away and begin climbing up the pegs by feel. About halfway up, you begin to hear the rasping sound again, but by the time you can't feel anymore pegs above you, you pull yourself into a very uncomfortable sitting position and fish the thing back out of your pocket. In a few moments you can mostly see the whole room again, and the rasping sound fades.

The ceiling is about 5 feet above you, and there's a wire about 5 feet across from you, level with your lap. Perhaps you could make the jump, though you're not sure if you could do it with anything in your hands.
