Nadarr looks oddly at Alexander from around the corner of his shelter. His storm pillar bathes him in light.

Hrm. When we get the ring, he isn't getting his hands on it.

"I thought the plan was to kill them anyway. Do we really care if undead are doing the deed for us?" Weston groused.

Chaos Bolt on whichever enemy looks weakest.

Its difficult to tell since two are passed out. Even moreso since none of them are bloodied. You fire then at the easiest one to hit; Mercenary6. (10+6) you hit, dealing (6+7) damage! It bounces after it bloodies Mercenary6 to Mercenary5! (18+6) Yo hit again, dealing (6+1) damage! It bounces again and stops at Mercenary8! (18+6) you hit once again, dealing (3+1) damage!

Mercenary6 attacks Thoradin! He misses and takes (5+3) damage from Symon's echo!

Symon begins his turn!

Symon is too focused on fighting to join in the party banter and so just bellows, "FOR BAHAMUT!"

Minor Action: Oath of Enmity on Mercenary 6.
Major Action: Bond of Retribution on Mercenary 6.

Major Action: Bond of Retribution on Mercenary 6.

You bring down your flail towards Mercenary6! (11+10) your flail comes down on him, dealing (4+4+6) damage! Mercenary6 drops dead!

((Since they're considered unconcious, I'll say this encounter is over))

The party gains 250xp each. Thoradin goes up to the last two mercenaries and beheads them with his axe!

"NEVER enter my home again, ya filthy bastards..."

He turns to the party and rests against his axe as he tries to catch his breath.

"Do yer thing lads. I'm just gonna rest 'ere for a moment."

What does the party do?

"Karl, could you go, eh, check what happened to the other guy? I don't think I'm feeling that well."

Alexander patches himself up and loots the corpses.

You find 10 halberds, 10 crossbows, several damaged suits of chainmail, and several broken makeshift crossbows. Behind them is a chest loaded with bolts, totaling to 500 bolts total. None of them have any gold on hand

Nadarr uses his Orb of Insurmountable Force combined with Mage Hand to bash the door in.

He quickly uses Light to illuminate the room and looks in.

He quickly uses Light to illuminate the room and looks in.

You cast mage hand and use it to push the door in! With your orbs ability, you hurl the door into the room, off of its hinges! You blink and have to take a double take from the sight that you see. The ring sits perfectly in the middle of the room, clean and pristine, but the rest of the room reveals blood and entrails as what is left of the shadow thief is splattered across the room. It seemed that most of his right side of his body was blown off, despite no sounds of an explosion being heard. His dagger sits mangled and dug into the side of the wall, but his shortsword seems to be perfectly find, despite being stabbed into his leg. There are no other doors in the room, and like the others, it has a bed, cabinet and a chest, but they seem slightly damaged. The chest appears to be empty, but the cabinet, gaping wide open, shows an array of clothes suited for dwarves and are stained in blood and gore. The bed is knocked over and is missing a leg, and you cannot tell of the sheets and pillows without fixing the bed. The obvious cracks in the wooden frame underneath it show that it did take a beating. The light spell helped immensely to see this, as the torch that is seen in the room Cromwell was in is extinguished

Nadarr hurries in and picks up the ring. Rubbing it, he does every possible check he can on it.

You try to pick up the ring and you feel a slight jolt of... Something course through you; similar to static shock. You can tell its magical by that and the fact the runes are glowing. (?) As you check it though, the magic seems to go away, and the ring remains dull and useless despite any efforts whatsoever

EDIT:
You cannot make out the runes that are on the ring as you do not know the elvish language

Karl inspects the corpse and the unbroken weapon, while keeping a close eye on Nadarr while he handles the ring.

"A simple family heirloom, eh? Nothing simple causes a mess this big."

With a glance at the other room, Karl speaks quietly to Nadarr.

((PM incoming to Nadarr and highmax.))

Thoradin, now caught his breath, walks to the party and suggests you rest in this area (excluding te bloody room) after you check all the rooms. As long as you stay to the rooms behind the barricade, those on watch could maintain lookout with little problems, especially with the crossbows and bolts on hand

Nadarr exits the bloody room and searches the others, shining light before entering each. ((Headband of perception, go!))

Nadarr exits the bloody room and searches the others, shining light before entering each. ((Headband of perception, go!))

((I do admit, I find it funny how this guy always seems to be the one who searches everything thoroughly... And hes the one guy who will probably hoard the loot))

You search every room except the bloody room. (18+6) (12+6) (19+6) (13+6) (7+6) (10+6) (10+6) (12+6) (18+6) (15+6) (FUMBLE) You search the chests, the cabinets, the beds in every room except the last one opposite of the bloody room, where when you go to open the door, Thoradin sniffs the air and tackles you away from the door.

"If you don't want to have problems with me, don't open that door. I smell wolfsbane in it and boy is that stuff nasty."

You take a good wiff and you start to scratch at your nose from how irritating the smell is. You both get a good distance from the door.

The other rooms have random clothes in them. Some of them you deem rather ornate, others you're not sure about, but all of them are sized medium and a little wide for some of you, but will fit (dwarves have stockier bodies then most). You find one room has an armor stand and a desk, and the armor on the stand is leather. You're not sure if its magical because your attention is on finding things, but you have a pretty good guess it is. You find in most of the chests, gold, goblets of random metals, and some chests have random weapons. You also find a grey bag in the desk room as well as a map and a set of dice. These you find all to be magical.

Excluding the two rooms, you find the following:

2 silver goblets
1 gold chalice with small studded gems
955 gold coins
1 suit of leather armor
10 suits of fine clothing
25 suits of regular clothing
1 suit of magical clothing
1 suit of magical leather armor
1 set of magical dice
1 magical map
1 magical grey bag

Thoradin asks if someone can get rid of the wolfsbane while he keeps his distance. Thoradin does notice Nadarr scratching his nose and walks him off to the side, his hand on the tall dragonborn's shoulder
